Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on September 4, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 1 No.10 Harto Lightly raced mare from the Waller yard resuming from a break. She’s only had the two starts to date for an unlucky placing followed by a dominant win at Gosford. A little behind some of the other major chances numbers wise however she’s likely improved plenty over the break and has the benefit of two barrier trials under her belt. Also like the fact she’s getting plenty of weight from her main rivals down on 54kg. RACE 6 No.5 Vangelic Promising filly from the Waterhouse/Bott stable who resumes from a break tomorrow. A solid winner on debut she had excuses at her second attempt before beating all bar the winner at Listed and Group 2 grade her only other starts at that initial prep. With the benefit of two recent trials the latest finishing 6 lengths behind Nature Strip she looks ready to go fresh. RACE 9 No.12 Icebath Looks a race in two this final event with this mare taking on the short priced favourite Masked Crusader. The difference between them in the market seems a little too large for my liking with this one looking well over the odds and a great each-way chance to knock over the hot pot. The good alley and 2.5kg weight pull certainly won’t harm either! Quaddie 1, 3, 5 1, 3, 10, 13 3, 5, 8, 9 2, 12 Market Market
