Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on February 28, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 2 No. 2 Stellar Pauline Magic Millions runner-up who although actually still a Maiden has beaten all bar the winner each of her three starts to date. Beaten by Away Game in the Millions she likely found the better going however the effort was still a good one and she’s backed it up with a Randwick trial win earlier in the month which was quite soft. Expecting her to run very well once again. Race 3 No.8 Argenteus Throw at the stumps here with this debutante from the Team Snowden yard. Yes, it’s a big ask to produce one first up into a Group 2 race as we get close to the Golden Slipper however they are a very shrewd stable and this one has likely been held back. His latest barrier trial resulted in a cosy win with the blinkers on clearing out from the opposition which included the highly rated stablemate Aim. Monitor betting moves very closely, he could be quite smart. Race 4 No.10 Vegadaze Returned to his best form here last start leading throughout to score in restricted grade. That followed a close up effort in the Group 2 Expressway when beaten less than 3 lengths which was his fourth straight outing in either Group 1 or 2 company. Back to Group 3 tomorrow looks suitable and mapping as the clear leader he’ll take plenty of running down. Quaddie 1, 2, 4, 5 3, 4 3, 8, 10 1, 5, 6, 7 Market Market
