Chris Nelson’s Hawkesbury Preview Posted on April 29, 2016April 29, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 – No.7 Danish Twist Kris Lees trained mare who comes into this off a last start win in the rich Provincial Championships at Randwick during the carnival. She drew the inside gate there which is again the case here, she should be able to gain a nice run behind the speed and if able to hook out into clear running down the straight should go very close to mowing the leaders down once again. RACE 7 – No.5 Strawberry Boy Chris Waller trained galloper who put in a couple of handy trial performances before going down narrowly first up at Randwick when showing a ton of fight up on the speed. He’ll look to cross and take up the lead and from there should prove tough to run down with that added fitness this time around. It’s well worth noting he is unbeaten here on the track from two attempts to date. RACE 8 – No.2 Handfast Godolphin trained gelding who is going for four wins from his past five starts in tomorrow’s Hawkesbury Guineas. He finished far too strongly at Randwick last time out over this trip to continue his progression, keep in mind he was a Newcastle Maiden winner only four starts ago. He’ll gain the right run for James McDonald and should prove very hard to hold out at the business end. Best Bet: Race 8 – No.2 Handfast Best Value: Race 7 – No.5 Strawberry Boy QUADDIE Race 6: 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 Race 7: 2, 5, 8, 15 Race 8: 2, 3 Race 9: 9, 14 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now!” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2016-04-30/sr/5″ linkrel=””]
