RACE 5 No.6 Logan Street Lion

On face value was disappointing at the Sunshine Coast when basically holding his position all the way down the straight. Taking a closer look, the first three out were the same three in on that occasion, the race just wasn’t set up for any runner to make ground down the straight. I like him stepping up to 1600m and I like the booking of Jimmy Orman. Stick with him!

RACE 7 No.2 Shooting For Gold

Quality sprinter from the O’Dea/Hoysted stable who raced in Melbourne during the early part of the spring with great success. He resumes on Saturday having been sharpened up for his return with a strong trial performance leading throughout to score under no pressure at Deagon recently. With an impressive fresh record & a likely soft run off the inside gate he can return a winner!

RACE 8 No.8 Me Me Lagarde

Back to her best winning at the Gold Coast running home right over the top of the leaders late. The key to her is good ground and an ounce of luck as her pattern is to settle off the pace, she was able to get both of those factors in her favour and with similar on Saturday can land the ‘Golden Ticket’ into next year’s Group 1 Stradbroke.
