Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets

RACE 2 No.3 Palazzo Spirit

No shortage of smart trial performers around with a couple of 2yo races this afternoon however this 80k Spirit Of Boom purchase looks the standout. Very soft recent heat win in smart time over Heroic Son who scored at Doomben last Saturday certainly suggests he’s got the right form line. Well drawn should make a winning debut.

RACE 4 No.6 Fetch

Plenty of ‘hype’ around this Sebring filly from the O’Dea/Hoysted yard who was dominant winning on debut at Grafton back in April as a 2yo taking on the older horses when charging away over the latter stages. She’s had a couple of lead up trials closing off generously in both which should have her ready to go and the 1200m certainly looks more suitable than that 1000m on debut.

RACE 9 No.6 She Za Boss

Locally trained mare from the Team Edmonds yard who looks very capable of running a big race first up. She placed twice before winning third up (Eagle Farm) at the start of her last prep in better company than she faces here and she should be fit enough after three lead up trials. With Jaden Lloyd’s claim she also appears well weighted with 55kg.
