Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets

RACE 2 No.2 Shooting For Gold

We’re not going to score any lucrative odds about this one however he does appear the ‘lock’ on a day where most races at Eagle Farm look to contain more than a few winning chances. Burst through a late gap to land the money first up after finding himself with traffic issues half way down the straight. Lightly raced he shows plenty of promise and can win again.

RACE 5 No.7 Lethal Warning

Completely unwanted by punters on debut she was a noted market drifter which was no surprise as her trials had been less than average, even her trainer Tony Gollan wasn’t expecting much. Well she made us all look silly charging down the outside to win running away. Bred to appreciate further she’ll lap up the additional 400m tomorrow and look out if she’s improved which is highly likely.

RACE 6 No.5 London Banker

Ex Kiwi now with the Kelly Schweida yard who looks to have found the right race at start number three since crossing the ditch. He weaved his way home into third spot at Eagle Farm last start over a mile really looking like a horse wanting further, he gets that tomorrow stepping out to 1800m. Drawn ok also which is highly favourable at this awkward starting point.
