Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on November 11, 2021November 11, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.10 Putontheredlight Tragedy beaten last start when running into nothing but back backsides most of the way down the straight. Settling last in a slowly run race she just couldn’t find the gaps until too late yet still managed to break 22 seconds her final 400m. She will again get back tomorrow however there’s good pace in front, hooked wide for home she’ll be motoring to the line. RACE 8 No.12 Simply Fly Not exactly ‘big odds’ however you’ll get your money back should he run a place which looks highly probable. This race is the kick off for a number of Summer Carnival hopefuls who likely have the measure of Simply Fly on class however fitness wise that may not be the case. He’s had the two runs back, is busting for 1200m and just loves rain affected ground. RACE 9 No.12 Morethannumberone Michael Costa trained galloper who is absolutely flying winning his past two in very easy fashion. On each occasion he’s settled back in slowly run races yet been able to breeze past his rivals under no pressure showing a very impressive ‘turn of foot’. Freshened up for tomorrow’s race the wet track may dampen his acceleration a little however I can’t see it stopping him from winning again!
