Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on December 14, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 4 No.2 Sun City Tony McEvoy trained youngster who is following the exact same path as his Magic Millions winning stablemate Sunlight did last year having placed at Flemington Melbourne Cup week. He placed in a recent Doomben trial under a strong hold and could have won if asked to by Jeff Lloyd, he only has to handle the wet ground to win! RACE 7 No.8 Mishani Bullitt Consistent galloper having his first run for the Les Kelly stable tomorrow. Raced without luck at many of his starts last preparation finishing close up behind the likes of Perast and The Bostonian at Group 2 and 3 level. He faces the open age horses tomorrow however does enjoy soft ground and is twice a winner fresh from 4 attempts. Expecting him to measure up well. RACE 8 No.1 Zoustyle Future topliner who has won all 4 starts to date with a couple of those being on soft ground. Yes he faces his toughest task to date and comes up with an awkward gate however all that does is give us a better price as he’s started in the red at each of his wins. I’m expecting him to take another step and make it 5 on the trot tomorrow.
