Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on October 19, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 2 No. 1 Oradonna Consistent mare who appears very well placed tomorrow on the wet ground. Placed her last couple both here at Doomben beating all bar the very speedy Goldfinch two starts back before winding up less than a length behind the consistent Hingus Rose two weeks ago. With the good gate, wet track form and a handy 2kg claim lookout! RACE 5 No.4 Fortensky Chris Waller trained galloper who is just busting to win a race and tomorrow just might be the day! Big effort two back at the Sunshine Coast racing wide and fighting on strongly for 4th before missing the start his latest closing late in an unsuitably run race. Yet to see a wet track however his Soft track form is good and he’s certainly bred to get through worse. RACE 9 No.9 Jami Lady Unbeaten filly from the O’Dea stable who has scored both wins on Soft (5) ground. Although tomorrow will definitely be wetter than that her dam is by one of the best wet track sires going around in Easy Rocking so no fears from me she won’t handle it. Could not have been any more impressive to date and although drawn awkwardly she has the services of top jock Ryan Maloney who will know exactly where to place her.
