Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on September 28, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 4 No. 1 Fiery Heights Looks well placed tomorrow as the only leader in the race with the other on pacer Mystic Moon being scratched. Form is very good this campaign winning first up before beating all bar a couple of in form types in Tversky and Zumbelina his last couple. Allowed to bowl along in front around Doomben he should prove very hard to run down. RACE 5 No.11 Smartypy Although beaten as favourite last Saturday her run was terrific having to go back from a wide gate and attempt to run the opposition down in the straight. She looked a big chance of doing just that before peaking late which was to be expected as she only has a short sharp sprint. Expecting her to settle closer tomorrow as the speed in the race is drawn wide. RACE 8 No.2 Fortensky Consistent galloper from the Chris Waller stable who is very well placed tomorrow at his third run back from a break. He’s on the 7 day back up having finished a close 4th at the Sunshine Coast last Saturday after enduring a tough trip caught deep all the way. No chance of that happening tomorrow drawn perfectly in gate 2 and likely to score the run of the race.
