Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on August 10, 2018August 10, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 5 No.10 Ingeegoodbe Arguably should have won here a fortnight ago landing a perfect run behind the leader all the way to the turn. Unfortunately for his supporters he couldn’t get out at any stage in the straight and went to the line under lock and key with plenty left in the tank. Fourth up tomorrow he’ll appreciate the distance rise and again draws well, with just even luck he can make amends. RACE 6 No.6 Malvern Estate With the short priced favourite Tactical Advantage electing to bypass this race and go around down south instead the door is wide open for this consistent galloper to regain winning form. Thought his run behind Spurcraft here a fortnight back over slightly shorter was terrific closing the margin all the way to the line. Drawn well and at his peak now I’m confident he’ll go one better tomorrow. RACE 8 No.14 Makes You Think Lightly raced galloper who won his first couple of starts in strong fashion Sunshine Coast and Grafton. Immediately sent for a break he resumed a month back with a tidy second before finishing closest of the on speed runners here 2 weeks ago. Although narrowly missing a placing he fought on well right to the line and the step up to 1350m from a good gate looks ideal.
