Deane’s Saturday Caulfield Best Bets Posted on February 10, 2017February 10, 2017 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 3 NO. 3 CATCHY CATCHY can confirm her high rating for the Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) on February 25 with a win in the Blue Diamond Prelude (1100m). The daughter of Fastnet Rock has been dominant in her two victories to date, firstly defeating over LIMESTONE over 1000 metres at Moonee Valley on December 9 before beating PROPERTY over 1100 metres at Caulfield on January 7. Those two horses went on to win the two divisions of the Blue Diamond Previews which confirms the strength of the CATCHY formline. She should land just behind the speed and maintain her undefeated record. SuperPick - RACE 3 NO. 3 CATCHY - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) RACE 7 NO. 3 LUCKY HUSSLER The feature race is the C.F.Orr Stakes (1400m) and it brings together a high quality field for the first group one contest of the calendar year. In an even race, LUCKY HUSSLER might be the value runner at each way odds. The Darren Weir trained galloper was luckless when finishing unplaced in the Magic Millions Cup (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 14. He finished second in last year’s Orr Stakes off a similar preparation and looks drawn for a cheap run in this year’s edition. In-form rider Damian Lane takes the mount and LUCKY HUSSLER is poised to win another group one race at juicy odds. RACE 9 NO. 3 THAMES COURT The Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) looks a race with three main chances in SILENT SEDITION, THAMES COURT and AMERISTRALIA, however THAMES COURT has trialled well in recent weeks and looks a great winning chance. The four year old didn’t win in four runs during spring but she was highly competitive in strong races including a close-up 4th behind BON AURUM in the Group 1 Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m). This looks the ideal kick-off race for her autumn campaign and gives THAMES COURT the chance to return to the winners list. Bet Now
