Scott’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on August 24, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SAVERIO is knocking down the door and off a 7 day back up and a more suitable trip he can get his maiden out of the way. COMPARATIVE is a consistent type who will be closer to the speed than most rivals. A FAIR LADY ran well when wide throughout last start. BURNING MAGIC is always around the mark. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 13 – 11 Suggested Bet – SAVERIO WIN Race 2 TRANSGRESSOR is a massive weight dropper. He was game in defeat last time out and should get a soft run. TWO SILVER TREES is arguably the class runner in this field. Drawn awkwardly in barrier 8 Stone may have to go back. SNOW LORD needs to improve, maybe the blinkers will do the trick. FAERIE WHISPER has hit a purple patch. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRANSGRESSOR EACHWAY Race 3 DAINTY TESS is as honest, consistent and classy as they come. With only 55kg on her back she will take a stack of beating. REBEL KING has had a throat operation since his last start. Trial suggested he is back. BOMBS AWAY on the postage stamp weight is a big danger. MORE ACES never looked comfortable after not being able to lead last start. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – DAINTY TESS WIN SuperPick - Race 3 No. 2 DAINTY TESS - Win Boost Race 4 DAINTY PAT was very impressive in her first-up victory. The form has already stood tall with two subsequent winners. FINE SCENT has the necessary speed to lead and gets both blinkers and Pike. EPIC GREY was an eye catcher over the 1000m coming from well back in the field. SUNBOSS is eligible for much easier than this but looks to have ability. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – DAINTY PAT WIN Race 5 BATTLE HERO was excellent fresh in the Belmont Newmarket. 1300m looks the ideal distance for him and he gets a big opportunity to add another Listed win to his name. JUST ACT NATURAL deserves a chance to prove himself a genuine top liner. IT’S IT was brave in defeat last start, leads or box-seats. MIKI TWO TOES should get every possible chance from the gun draw. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – BATTLE HERO WIN Race 6 BONNY BE GOOD came from well off to score comfortably first-up. She will settle off them but down on the minimum she will charge. DIABLERIE was completely luckless last start in the same race. Senior rider on and a gun draw, he is the danger. LOCKROY has been competitive in stronger at his past few and is drawn a soft gate. ATACAMA SKY has been below par all preparation. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – BONNY BE GOOD WIN Race 7 PUSHIN’ SHAPES lost no admirers first-up over 1400m on a heavy track when tramping wide without cover for the entire race. BY DECREE will be looking to lob leader’s back and utilize her short sharp sprint. BERGANTINA is more than capable of running a cheeky race at odds. FIRST AFFAIR is looking for dry ground and further, she gets one of those here. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – PUSHIN’ SHAPES EACHWAY Race 8 GUNNAGO was an exceptionally strong winner two starts ago before being heavily supported and racing a tad flat. He either leads or box seats from barrier 1 and goes close. NASHVILLE CAT continues to savage the line late in her race. SHARPBOB was strong in tougher grade last weekend. DUKEAZZA is probably looking for further but off 7 days is worth inclusion. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – GUNNAGO WIN Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,6 4,6,8 1,5,6,7,9 1,10 Bet Now
