Greg’s Belmont Best Bets Posted on September 14, 2016September 15, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 COOL KNIGHT has impressed in his trials and with the blinkers going on for his debut he looks the one to beat. MELTING POINT has run well in both his starts. The blinkers go on and he should box seat from gate 1 and appears the danger. VERMONT LADY has looked sharp in her trials. PETITE DANCER next best. Numbers – 6 – 3 – 14 – 10 Suggested Bet – Cool Knight win RACE 2 STOICISM is a well-bred type who makes his debut for the Williams/Peters team. He should a nice turn of foot in his last trial win. From gate 4 with the blinkers he will settle close to the speed and get every chance. QUILISTA looks the danger. She showed ability in her first preparation and has trialled well for her return. STORM DANCER will enjoy the drop in class and Harvey goes on. EQUINE WHIZ has race experience and should settle right on the speed. Numbers – 7 – 10 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – Stoicism and Quilista RACE 3 LEXDEN EXPRESS resumes from a five week let-up. He has drawn wide in all his three career starts and on each occasion has found the line well. From a better draw he should settle closer and get his chance. SOMEDAY ONE DAY has to start from the outside gate but he does look close to a win. ARGYLE EXPRESS will lead and give and with Pike on will go close. ANDREINI has disappointed in both starts this campaign. Numbers – 9 – 1 – 7 -3 Suggested Bet – Lexden Express win RACE 4 RIGHT HONOURABLE should derive benefit from his first-up run and will appreciate the class drop. If he can find the front and dictate he has claims. PRENTICE is racing well. He’ll park off the speed and find the line strongly. TYCOON TARGET continues to draw bad gates. If he can find the breeze without using too much fuel he can win. FUTURISM will tuck just behind the speed and is a chance. Numbers – 1 -2 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – Right Honourable and Prentice RACE 5 ELLENS CHOICE has been tuned up for her return with two barrier trials. She should show plenty of early speed to lead or breeze and take some catching. MORE ACES was a strong debut winner. FAIR NIKITA defeated Ellens Choice on at Bunbury. She resumes without a trial. CORSE HE QUICK will show plenty of early speed and can flop into the first four. Numbers – 6 – 7 – 13 – 1 Suggested Bet – Ellens Choice and More Aces RACE 6 JUENDIS looks very well placed back to midweek grade. He should get a perfect run from gate 4 and the only query will be the final 100m. RIPPER RED is a very capable type with a big finish. FOREVER DIAMONDS has had seven weeks off since an eye-catching first-up effort. FIRST TRADE will look to lead again and is the one to catch. Numbers – 3 – 10 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – Juendis win RACE 7 SO CUTE has run well in both starts this campaign. From a better draw she can settle handier and has genuine each-way claims. Numbers – 13 – 5 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – So Cute each-way RACE 8 BIG CAROLINE will appreciate the rise to 1400m and Jarrad Noske getting back on looks a positive. WAR GOD has found form with consecutive impressive wins. ANOTHER MAORI BOY backs up from a determined win last week over this trip. MAMA BEAR can improve off her first-up run at Northam. Numbers – 4 – 2 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – Big Caroline save War God SUPERPICK – BIG CAROLINE – MONEY BACK – RUN 2ND QUADDIE RACE 5 – 6, 7, 13 RACE 6 – 3, 8, 10, 11, 12 RACE 7 – 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 13 RACE 8 – 2, 3, 4 Bet Now
