Scott’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on October 3, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 COLOURFUL CHARADE has the necessary speed to find the front and from there is the one to run down. CONICAL PEAK can be a sharp improver with the Durrant camp. FORK HANDLES should box seat from the gate. STAGEMAN is well bred but may be looking for a bit further. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – COLOURFUL CHARADE WIN Race 2 COME PLAY WITH ME charged through the line first-up at Northam. This is not an overly strong line-up and expect him to relish every inch of the trip. SCINTILATING has run two eye catchers this preparation. ROJO CALOR was bitterly disappointing at Kalgoorlie, he’s better than that. THE BIG SHOW can give cheek from the front. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – COME PLAY WITH ME WIN Race 3 BALMONTGOMERY was solid enough in Saturday grade first-up to run a race here. ABSOLUTE MAGIC has been screaming out for this trip all preparation. I’M A LOVE MAN could be the blowout chance if he found the front. JAZARI has been narrowly defeated at his past two and a win looks very close. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – BALMONTGOMERY EACHWAY Race 4 CELTIC WIZARD is drawn to settle a lot closer to the speed than he did last start. Looks a winnable race for him. TAXADERMY was very well supported late in betting before tramping three wide throughout. IRON BOSS was buffeted between runners when starting to make his run last start. NOIR DE RUE takes on the older horses but looks to have some ability. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – CELTIC WIZARD WIN Race 5 SHOWCASE looks an exciting 3 year old on her trials and debut win. Expect her to contest some of the bigger features over summer and justify her short quote in this race. LA MOULINE is probably looking for further than this but is another worth following. VEGA DIOR was a strong maiden winner before finding Saturday grade a little too sharp. TRIPLE EVENT leads or box seats. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – SHOWCASE WIN Race 6 NEW TIME is more than capable of running along out in front and still finding late in the piece. Does his best work when freewheeling in front. NEXT CONTESTANT returns from a successful North West trip and at his best would take some beating. NIGHT VOYAGE got the run of the race and belted rivals at Northam. PARADING next best. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – NEW TIME WIN SuperPick - Race 6 No. 1 NEW TIME - Money Back Race 7 SLIK SAM has been scratched on a number of occasions because he spins his wheels in the wet. Does his best work fresh and could prove too strong. FATHER KNICK is still raw and green but if he runs straight will be hard to hold out. MISS SOMEBODY could give cheek if she found the front. COUNT TOMOZ OFF is hard to catch but undeniably talented. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – SLIK SAM EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 4 – 7) 1,2,4,6,7 9 1,3,4,6 3,6 Bet Now
