Greg’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on February 3, 2017February 4, 2017 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 Going with the race experienced colt MY DEMI in the opening race. He showed good speed at both starts in his first campaign. Expecting him to be right on the speed and prove hard to run down. The debutantes YOU AM I and KENTOO both trialled well. CHANTILLY GIANT showed speed and faded on debut. She’s been given a freshen-up since and expecting she’ll be much more competitive. Numbers – 1 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – MY DEMI WIN RACE 2 WHO’S THE GURU has burnt the punters in three life time starts however he’s had 12 months away from the track since he was last seen. His trial win looked enormous and if he brings that to the races he wins. MISS SINGAPORE was solid first-up. She looks a big player with some natural improvement. FAULTY races handy to the speed and has claims. AND SO AM I gets the perfect trip and has claims. Numbers – 4 – 7 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – WHO’S THE GURU WIN RACE 3 ROYAL STAR has been super impressive in both career starts. If she get off the fence and into clear room she keeps her undefeated record intact. VEUVE DE VEGA looks the potential leader. He can run a place from that position. CLOAK AND DAGGER impressed at Pinjarra. SHUBAYA CROSSING looks a strong first-four hope. Numbers – 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – ROYAL STAR WIN RACE 4 PRESELECTION has raced without any luck at her last two starts. She’ll enjoy a strong speed and provided she holds form and gets clear room she is the one to beat. OUTLAW PETE appreciated the rise to a staying trip last start. He can win again. ELEVEN SECONDS can give a sight on the speed. TOPPA DAWOZZA is always a strong place chance. Numbers – 4 – 2 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – PRESELECTION WIN RACE 5 SALORSCI was super impressive on debut. He was to lead, roll and come clear running the fastest 1100m of the day. From gate 2 expecting him to fire straight to the front and take a heap of running down. BELTER looks the danger. He misses by an eye lash last start and from a good draw should tag the speed and get every chance. RAGAZZO D’ORO and PRECIOUS MEMORIES are likely to settle off the speed and work home strongly. Suggested – 10 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – SALORSCI WIN SuperPick - Race 5 No. 10 SALORSCI - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) RACE 6 THREE VOTES put on a clinic at his most recent start when he led and smashed his rivals his rivals. If shows that type of form again, he wins. IT’S IT is capable of producing a strong fresh display. He’ll enjoy the expected hot speed. CUANZO and RED PADDY are two other who can get off the speed and finish strongly. Numbers – 7 – 3 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – THREE VOTES WIN RACE 7 REAL ICON has run well at both starts this campaign and he should a lovely trail from gate 2. PATRIMONIO will settle off the speed and need some luck from gate 1. He has a powerful turn of foot so if he sees daylight he goes very close. KEY TO FAME had a torrid run in transit last week. DANEFIN is racing well as is the stable. Numbers – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – REAL ICON AND PATRIMONIO RACE 8 FIRST AFFAIR was a huge winner last start. She came off a month freshen up and was able to storm home and cut down the leader. She’ll appreciate a genuinely run race and go close. RUN LIAM RUN is another who will enjoy a strong tempo. SHADY GRAY has claims if he can get some luck from the car park. BARAKI BEATS can win if he behaves himself at the barriers. Numbers – 6 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – FIRST AFFAIR WIN QUADDIE RACE 5 – 4, 10 RACE 6 – 3, 7 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 RACE 8 – 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 Bet Now
