Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on November 3, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DALGARANGA was caught wide at his most recent trial and still hit the line well enough to suggest he could run a race on debut. CAROLINA REAPER did a mountain of work on debut and was entitled to fade. DAWN ARMADA trailed well at Lark Hill. ENERGY PAK next care of experience. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – DALGARANGA EACHWAY Race 2 I AM INCREDIBLE has been simply outclassed at his past two assignments. Previous win in this grade was strong and he can slide across into a prominent position. RHI’S ROCKET should be able to lead and dictate. CUANZO drops a stack on weight on his effort last weekend. RECOILED is hard to catch but talented. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – I AM INCREDIBLE WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 3 I AM INCREDIBLE - Money Back Race 3 EPIC GREY drops out of Listed company into an open 3 year old race and should prove too strong in a hotly contested speed battle. COGNAC will be right there when the whips crack. DANES MAREE has a postage stamp weight on her back and speed. SOUNDCHECK gets off them and rattles home late. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 9 Suggested Bet – EPIC GREY WIN Race 4 TRAP FOR FOOLS drops sharply in grade from his all the way win last start. Shouldn’t have any trouble lumping the weight and the faster they go the better for him. MASTER MAGICIAN should stalk the speed and get a soft run. TIME TO HUNT steps out to a trip for the first time in his career. FREEDOM BY CHOICE was well below his best last time out. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – TRAP FOR FOOLS WIN Race 5 LA MOULINE was able to sprint very quickly up along the fence last weekend and nab Cruachan. Suspect a similar result here. CRUACHAN likely settles behind La Mouline and doubt he can sprint with her. KING OF WU trialed exceptionally well and then was caught wide throughout first-up. He can run a cheeky one. SHARPBOB is much better suited in this grade and over this trip. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – LA MOULINE WIN Race 6 COSMIC STORM was the eye catching run first-up. She will probably go around at unders due to the cerise and white combined with W.Pike, however, she looks on track for a live tilt at the Railway. VARIATION ticks a lot of boxes and should get the run of the race. WHISPERING BROOK is weighted to win and we are yet to see her best. POUNAMU is hard to catch but goes well fresh. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 10 – 4 Suggested Bet – COSMIC STORM WIN Race 7 DAINTY TESS is as honest and consistent as they come. If she can hold a spot midfield in the early stages she will take some holding out. PROFIT STREET flies fresh and grows a leg for William Pike. DREAM LIFTER is in the twilight of his career but gets the right run for him. CAIPIRINHA is racing below her best but more than capable on her day. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 3 – 11 Suggested Bet – DAINTY TESS EACHWAY Race 8 NOT AGAIN KEN is the flag bearer for the short back-up club and he should get conditions to suit. If he settles in the first few pairs he can definitely go close. PINZU has the best turn of foot in the race but may have a few traffic issues. DIABLERIE bombed the start and ran a cracker last weekend. SLICK TALKER might find the front and from there Autier controls. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 11 Suggested Bet – NOT AGAIN KEN EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 7 2,5 3,6,9,11 1,4,7,10,11 Bet Now
