Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on March 1, 2018March 1, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ONYA HEAD has been trialing well for a long time and should enjoy a soft run on debut. ASSETRO was still eye catching in defeat at her most recent. If the speed is on she could be a fair way back again. FAIREDU has trialed well enough to box seat. PARTY NIGHT can jump and run. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – ONYA HEAD WIN Race 2 THREE SECRETS resumes fresh without a trial and lobs into a race with an abundance of speed to suit him. HOW TO FLY is going brilliantly and no reason why she can’t win again. WACKED OUT leads or box seats and was much improved in the Magic Millions. MISTY METAL is worth following. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – THREE SECRETS EACHWAY Race 3 COUGAR NIGHTS was run off his legs in a strong run race in a quality field. This is more suitable for him. RAGAZZO D’ORO hit a purple patch of form last preparation and has been freshened. SWEET ORA should stalk Corporate Larrikin and go close again. MY GRACE is still a query at the trip and at Ascot but going well. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – COUGAR NIGHTS WIN Race 4 SANDALWOOD was given an absolute peach last start and proved himself a stayer on the rise. Form has already held up and he can string a few together. AT THE READY was a powerful winner at Ascot and then was no match for Sandalwood at Pinjarra. CAPPO D’ORO is used to lumping weight and should slide forwards. ROCK GISELLE next best. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – SANDALWOOD WIN Race 5 PRIVATE DANCER is probably not ideally drawn in barrier 1 but Chris Parnham is WAs most lethal hoop at the minute. Drops 5kg on a booming fresh win and looks very hard to roll. SPECIAL ALERT was enormous in the Champion Fillies and woeful first-up. Forgive that and she is right in it. MODERN NEWS is a maiden worth following. SHOWCASE flopped badly at this trip last preparation. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – PRIVATE DANCER WIN Race 6 MIRACLE MAN was an eye catcher in 3 year old grade. This is an easier assignment and he both drops weight and regains W.Pike. JERAFT is going from strength to strength and building an imposing record. DOUBLE DIGIT has had no luck all preparation. WANTED DESIRE has hit a purple patch. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – MIRACLE MAN WIN Race 7 BLACKLINE should find the front here and prove incredibly hard to run down. She fires fresh and this is very winnable. VANDEMONIAN will need luck from the draw but is going well. BELTER is much better suited back to this trip. MASSACHUSETTS normally goes well in this grade. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – BLACKLINE WIN Race 8 FLOYD went mighty close first-up without a trial at Belmont last preparation and looked home at the 100m mark. If he is tuned up will take some catching. MR MOTOWN resumes and has winter form alongside top class rivals. SEEKER is well down in the weights and going well enough. STAR GLITTER could be run off his feet but won well last weekend. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – FLOYD WIN Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 7,8,9,10 2,3,4,9,10 2,3,5,9 7 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2018-03-03/pr” linkrel=””]
