Race 1

IM CATASTROPHIC (1) nearly won the Diamond Classic and continues to improve every time she steps on to the track, has options from the draw but hard to see them beating her from the pacemaker role. ILIKEITLIKETHAT (2) lost no admirers with her effort in the Diamond, has the nice draw and will be in the first few and finish there. SOME DANCER (10) is ideally drawn and loves to follow speed, perfect draw for her. POCKET OF DREAMS (3) and ALL OUT OF ACES (4) both good top 4 players and could fight out the qualifying spot with the latter able to do a bit more work at this stage I’d say. Draw hurts BUSH QUEEN (6).

Race 2

IGNITE THE FURNACE (7) was amazing with his top 3 run in the Pearl, he should roll forward and they should be rolling the red carpet out to sit on him, he should win with ease. THEMARASSHADOW (4) has good early speed with RIP TIDE (5) and the draw advantage might be the big difference but think both will get into good positions and be novelty chances. ASTERI ADELPHOS (1) is very green, and his wayward nature could be costly early for him but is still good enough to finish top 4.

Suggested Bet: THEMARASSHADOW (4) to place.

Race 3

URSULAS WISH (5) was a good effort after getting no luck in the heats of the Diamond, I think she can be driven positively in this and run a mighty race. SEASIDE SERENADE (7) is the logical pick but now they’ve beaten her she will likely run into more brazen tactics of people trying to beat her, she will be in the thick of it again. EXPRESSING (2) looks the early leader and has options from there but she has found good form. OUR ROBYN HOOD (9) faces a difficult draw but has strings to her bow. CRUNCHYLOVER (6) has ability and could improve, novelty chance with LIGHTONTHEHILL (4) who continues to improve.

Suggested Bet: URSULAS WISH (5) each way.

Race 4

IDEAL WHISPER (4) should go on his winning way, he is top class and in top 3 colts in the state, should dominate at the shorts. JETPACK (2) will be looking to get forward, he has had a misfortunate run as of late, has plenty of ability. RUSSIAN SNIPER (8) is a nice type; he will be around the mark with the speedy BENOA BAY (7). JIMMYS RAINBOW (3), ELPLAYER (6) and BEAU PARA (8) are novelty chances.

Suggested Bet: JETPACK (2) to place.

Race 5

Interesting driving appointment with Trent Wheeler put on NEVELE ARMA (3), She is a last start Group 1 winner and Dylan Egerton-Green has jumped off to drive SCANDALEYES (5) who has beaten NEVELE ARMA (3) previously, will be a fascinating contest and don’t think much separates them but the draw gives me the leaning towards NEVELE ARMA (3). NORTH CAROLINA (7) couldn’t have been much more impressive in her trials, will be running on strongly. SAPARI (1) is a novelty chance with MIGHTY MILLIE (2),

Suggested Bet: NEVELE ARMA/SCANDALEYES to Quinella.

Race 6

HEZ THE BOSS (5) should go on his winning way as he is versatile and just knows how to get the job done. ULTIMATE SHOT (1) is highly talented but still quite raw with his ability, interesting to see how they play it, wouldn’t surprise me to see them roll the dice and test him. ROCK THE TOUR (2) draws beautifully again for a heat and TERBIUM (3) impressed last start behind Off Shore.

Suggested Bet: TERBIUM (3) to place.

Race 7

UNLUCKY (3) over raced badly and cracked last time out, think Lindsay Harper will have rectified that problem and if she goes anywhere like she did first up she will go close. MINOR CATASTROPHE (1) drops in grade and draws well, will look for cover and be a good place chance. YAWOMA (5) is racing consistently and will head forward and be prominent. TRUE GRIT (2) is racing soundly enough but not at the same level as he was a few months ago. WICKED HUSTLER (7) must be respected and GET YA BETS ON (10) is a novelty chance.

Suggested Bet: UNLUCKY (3) to win.

Race 8

MIKIS PRIDE (6) was solid in his return run and had no luck, savaged the line and has plenty of talent, will go well here. BAZAAR PACKAGE (1) was too bad to be true last time out, it all went pear shaped after she was crossed, expecting her to bounce back and run well here. REINETTE (8) must be respected, she is a proven performer who has made a stable switch to Cam Ross who does a great job with his team and horses with a change of scenery can really spike in form, keep very safe. All the others in the field are all top 4 contenders with the right run.

Suggested Bet: MIKIS PRIDE (6) to win.

Race 9

Open race. Plenty of speed with SONIC SEELSTER (2) knocking on the door and will be looking to dash to the top and faces FIREBALL FRIDAY (1) trying to hold that position and JORDANO (3) looking to try and work to the top, could generate enough pressure to bring some others into it. BALTIC ACE (8) is racing well, and this is a drop in grade, respect him here. MAD PUNTA (12) will be running on strongly again. FUEGO CRUZADO (6) going well but faces the awkward draw with moderate early speed.
