Race 1

FABULOUS DREAM (5) has the gate speed to lead and has come back in good form, got away with plenty last start and fended them off late, bumps into a handy one here so faces another challenge but looks hard to run down. A LITTLE SILENCE (9) is the horse in question and is likely to roll to the breeze and will stick on strongly. MADAM MAGGIE (1) has the speed to lead early and take cover, up in grade and looks a place chance. SAMMY SUFFARELL (11) is racing well but won’t get the luxury of leading here so makes his job more difficult. OFFICIAL ROCK (2) returned well and could get a soft run and should be included into first 4’s.

Suggested Bet: FABULOUS DREAM/A LITTLE SILENCE to Quinella.

Race 2

LAST HARD COPY (8) is flying and likely to come out solidly here and be on the speed and be hard to beat, he is versatile and has come back even better than last time in. BELLY UP (7) will be trying to keep the advantage on him but not 100% sure that he can, racing well since returning also. BLAZE AWAY (3) is a solid chance to lead and is a potent front running type, trial was solid. LINCOLN LOU (6) needs a little bit of tempo on but is racing in fine order. CHIVALRY (11) follows out a moderate beginner and could give him a tricky map. GULLY GUM (5) wasn’t a bad effort first up and could improve and has early speed.

Suggested Bet: LAST HARD COPY (8) to win.

Race 3

Competitive race here, MENEMSHA (4) has come back without a great deal of luck and is a versatile type, should head forward and run a big race in this. SKYLORD (2) is above average when he is right, he has a lot of issues which sees interrupted preparations but normally races well when he fronts up, respect him in this. HUGOTASTIC (6) had no luck last time out and the draw doesn’t suggest a lot of luck again. MACHNIFICENT (1) has options from the draw but likely to be close enough to the speed. JUSTCALLMEMIKI (8) normally likes to be on speed, so the draw presents a challenge. FRANCO MOTU (9) is capable with CHASE ME (11) and ALTA TRIBUTE (12).

Suggested Bet: MENEMSHA (4) each way.

Race 4

Could be some speed on in this with HEAVENLY GIPSY (1) likely to try and lead with CAPTAINSHAVTIME (2) having a solid crack early. COPY CAT QUEEN (3) will be trying to duck in front of AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (11) who has the depth to overcome losing a position if need be. HEAVENLY GIPSY (1) was going to play a part in the Empress before running into bother, CAPTAINSHAVTIME (2) has taken the leap forward nicely and is a winning chance if she could cross. COPY CAT QUEEN (3) can win if she can position close to the speed. AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (11) has strings to her bow and can move into it locking up the De Campo runner in the final circuit. STARLIGHT DREAM (10) has the perfect draw for her style and must be respected. FAKENIT (6) capable but may have to push forward after they settle and breeze, good enough to stick on.

Suggested Bet: AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (11) to win.

Race 5

MAD MONDAY (6) is a quick beginner, and I think he is a chance to cross here as GOLDEN LODE (5) lacks a bit in early speed compared to the two. SWEET PINS (1) will be doing his best early but could find it challenging to hold OPAL HUNTER (2) and IM LIGHTNING BANNER (3) who could both potentially cross and then likely hand up to MAD MONDAY (6) or so at least that’s how I read the race. GOLDEN LODE (5) has been flying and will run a big race, this essentially is a drop in grade, but he’ll have to do his own dirty work here. RUNKLE CRUNCH (11) mustn’t be forgotten, will watch things unfold and work into it strongly. DOUBLE PARKED (12) reads up well, watch the market with him in this.

Suggested Bet: MAD MONDAY (6) to win.

Race 6

ULTIMATE MIKI (11) made light work of them in his WA debut and looks a progressive type, should go close even from the back row. PINNY NOIR (1) has the nice draw as opposed to last week and looks the leader early and will give them something to chase. SUGAR SHAKE (10) has the perfect draw to follow through and be a place chance. ROX THE WORLD (3) is a novelty chance on his form with OVERLY EXCITED (5), TA IN ADVANCE (7) and DELULU (9).

Tips: 11 1 10 3

Suggested Bet: ULTIMATE MIKI/PINNY NOIR/SUGAR SHAKE (4) to Trifecta.

 Race 7

THE BETTOR SIDE (4) is a hard horse to suggest as a favourite, he is not a good front runner as he switches off, makes it hard to dive into favouritism about him. BY GEE BY JINGO (1) is not known for his early speed but is racing well, should be close enough but likely to be leaders back with SWIZZLESTICK (10) who will be one spot further back, but this is a suitable grade for him. LOCH TAY (6) could run the gate and be a chance to lead, this grade suits her a lot better but might have some resistance from KINSAABI (2) who has come back soundly. LADY CAMEL (8) will be running on, ready to win but the draw is problematic.

Tips: 4 1 6 10

Suggested Bet: BY GEE BY JINGO (1) each way.

Race 8

PAROQUET (7) gets into this race well and the draw doesn’t bother me as she isn’t the quickest beginner so will settle initially and then be in the breeze and keeping them honest, I think this is her race. ARIONROCK (9) will be hoping the genuine tempo occurs as he will be running home, had an incident at Pinjarra which led to him being scratched, want to see him bounce back to form here. MADDY ROCKS (2) better suited in this and looks likely to get to the top here and is a good front running type. LORD TITANIUM (8) is capable in this grade but draw hurts and SUN PUBLISHER (10) will run on well.

Tips: 7 2 9 10

Suggested Bet: PAROQUET (7) to win.

Race 9

BEETASTIC (3) looks well placed in her WA debut, strikes a winnable race off the back of a decent enough trial for this grade, hard to go past but will be short with the trainer/driver combo. JACKIE DANIELS (5) is racing well without much luck, winning chance in the smallish field. DAT LOVELY (6) is ready to run a solid race, didn’t get out until late last run. SYNCHRONIZER (7) will run a better race in this, has got a lot of early speed if they push the button. BOLD JACKIE (2) and BATAVIA WEST (1) novelty chances.

Tips: 3 5 6 7

Suggested Bet: JACKIE DANIELS (5) place.

Race 10

MINOR CATASTROPHE (7) has the good speed and will be looking to cross, over the mile she will give them something to catch if she leads but she is versatile and either way she will be on speed and close enough. AMBITSIYA (8) is a sit and sprint type mare and was mapped out of it last run, should run home well but needs some tempo on, capable in this. ICY COLD (4) has good early speed but can also be hit and miss early these days, winning chance if she can lead. CHEKKER (6) is suited and can do work, should run well and JOLTED CHARM (5) capable and should run home.

Tips: 7 8 6 4

Suggested Bet: MINOR CATASTROPHE (7) each way.
