Scott Embry’s Sunday Roebourne Preview Posted on June 7, 2024June 7, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 LUCKY LANDING was the run of the meeting of the beaten brigade at the opening meeting at Broome behind Red Rebel (races in the last on Saturday) and expect that he takes beating here heading to Roebourne. Has enough speed to settle closer and should take great benefit for his first experience on the dirt. JACKEMJAMES is two from two this time in and will look to jump and run again. COMPAK went with him for the vast majority of the race last start and meets him 1k5 better. GINGER CHARM next best. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – LUCKY LANDING WIN RACE 2 JUSTHANDY copped a bit of interference late last weekend and finished fourth beaten a length. Prior to that split Yardstick and Salchino which is a nice form reference for this race. Going well enough to figure. PROTECTED ACTION was too sharp for them in the opening meeting at Carnarvon and then never got into the contest last Saturday behind talented Pateman pair Wuhan Warrior and Crystal Vain. Back in grade, back to 1100m and finds a race where he could cross them. Think he’s a sharp improver even with 64.5kg. SALCHINO got the job done last start but was given every favour. COMMANDO MISS was jumping out of the ground late in that event. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – JUSTHANDY EACHWAY RACE 3 PRINCESSA ANJA finished second to Archer County last start in a C1 1400m. Expect that form will look pretty good after Broome Race 1 on Saturday and the third horse Rockin’ The Silks won well last weekend at Port Hedland. Back in distance is a query but going well. MRS KANGAROO was in front for a long way at her Carnarvon debut and should be a nice jump and run type for Roebourne. Would love it if this was 1000 not 1100 but she’ll still be there for a big portion of the home straight. DARE ME broke her maiden well and can go on with it. PUSHOVER similarly won impressively at Broome. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – PRINCESSA ANJA EACHWAY RACE 4 GALATHILION finally gets out to a suitable distance range. Liked his first-up run at Port Hedland over 1200m when third behind Shooting Kontiki and subsequent maiden winner Bailees Pride and then he went to a 1400 last start but in a C1 behind Archer County, Princessa Anja and Rockin’ The Silks. Most winnable maiden he’s seen to date. BLATANT DISARRAY was a late scratching no available rider last weekend at Port Hedland after Tash Faithfull fell. 1) great news that she’s okay; and 2) 7 days later this filly can win. PERDIZ and ZERO DAWN are both going along alright. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – GALATHILION WIN RACE 5 MONEY FOR OLD ROPE should be a really good Roebourne / Port Hedland horse. Attacks this a month between runs (had 29 starts in the preparation – no joke) so clearly handles his racing and is tough as Old Rope too. He’s back to 1400m, he should work his way to the top here and from there he stays out of trouble and is hard to get past. AWESOME CHATTER improves for the run, improves for the dirt experience and improves up in distance. Keep safe. ZEEWIJK was better last start at his home track. CAVORIO is going along okay. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – MONEY FOR OLD ROPE WIN RACE 6 FIND YOUR MAN was the run of the meeting at Carnarvon on opening day when held up and bolting in behind horses and then duly saluted at Roebourne 8 days alter when somewhat surprisingly leading but safely fighting them off in the finish. Gets out to 1600m and is jumping well enough to hold a spot in running. Going super. HEZAZEB finally gets out to a distance range where he can be competitive and has been chasing hard. ACERMETRIC will be a nice Cups horse and comes on quickly. CROSSARO is racing really well. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – FIND YOUR MAN WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 2,3,5,6 1,2,7,8,9 1,4 1,2,3,5 Market Market
