If he takes any natural improvement from the outing then he should be going close from the ideal draw. Doesn’t look to be any stars in this and he should get the perfect run throughout for CJP. SO GOLDEN comes through the same race and if she can overcome a tricky alley can play a part. HIGH PRESSURE showed ability at trials on a couple of occasions. Keep safe. FLYING THE FLAG was well thought of in a couple of Kal maidens earlier in the season. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 2 – 11 Suggested Bet – SET FOR STARDOM WIN RACE 2 MYSTERY BULLEY has had two runs back at Belmont Park and now heads to Kalgoorlie. Think the form behind Miss Ava, Don’t Trust Judas will hold up nicely (even in the metro area) and he heads up to Kalgoorlie and has the services of Michael Poy. Should go well. MOONLIGHT RIVER is getting closer and closer to a win. Knocking on the door with placings at her last three and most recently was solid behind Got Lucky. RUBICK DELIGHT finds this lengths easier than a metro maiden. ELUSIVE DREAM travels well but doesn’t seem to really let rip when asked for an effort. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – MYSTERY BULLET WIN RACE 3 LAUGHING BUDDHA has really come of age over the last month or so. When he broke his maiden he got the job done beating Got Lucky (long, long time maiden) and then since they’ve stepped him up in class and in distance he’s gone to another level. Beat up on My Boy Eddy in a C2 and then went to a 51+ and dominated them again. See no reason why he won’t continue on his merry way. KAZKAZI finished second to him last start and does get a 1kg weight swing in his favour. STRATOCREED has been slowly but surely coming down in the ratings for seasons and is about ready to win again. BAILEYS is going along better than it reads. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – LAUGHING BUDDHA WIN RACE 4 RED CADILLAC only finished 3L off Fluro Neuro and Prawns Eleven two starts ago at Belmont. Drawn barrier 1 and with even luck in the home straight is definitely capable of giving this a shake. Metro C3s back into a Country C2 is excellent placement. Thinking she can hold up leader’s back and give this a shake. CAPTAIN ROGERS hasn’t had much luck so far this preparation from bad barriers. BOONDI ROCKS gets his first chance all preparation to cross and find the fence. LUCKY FOO FOO was a big winner last start at 20-1. If she reproduces she’s right in the mix again. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – RED CADILLAC WIN RACE 5 DANCE OF THUNDER was impressive at his WA Debut. He was first-up no trial over 1200m, got right back and attacked the line hard in a 58+. Second-up he drops back in grade into a C2, draws to get a gun run under CJP and considering he’s been competitive out to 1700m you’d think there’s plenty of room for improvement. Capable of winning a few for the new connections. SAFE SECRET has been a model of consistency all preparation for Jordan Rolfe. Expecting him to try and kick through to hold the top. SATURNINA was some sort of run last start. MUNGO JERRY brings intrigue at his WA debut. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – DANCE OF THUNDER WIN RACE 6 CHANG MAN was back to his best last start. He trialled super on 23 July when getting past Solarize late and then backed it up with a strong victory over Send ‘Em (who I still can’t believe didn’t win in the photo?). From barrier 1 gets every chance to go back to back. FLOPPY was backed as if unbeatable at Belmont Park last start ($9 into $3.60) and after surprisingly finding himself in front he never looked like being run down. Don’t think he beat much and clearly appreciated the Heavy8 conditions but he’s rock hard fit. REBEL MAN comes to the Goldfields and his fresh run behind Bread To Flirt and Becalotti was sound. I AM KING next best. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – CHANG MAN WIN RACE 7 VINYL is a mare who has enjoyed a wonderful preparation for a very much in form Rickie Brown stable. Take away her two runs in May and her preparation has been nearly faultless. She attacks this 8 weeks between runs so you have to take the yard on trust but she’s working her way through the grades impressively. KAKADU has been caught between 58+ and 70+ for a while now. Best is good enough. MINGORA yet to really find her feet in WA. Gear change and a senior on catches the attention. RECAPITULATE an improver. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – VINYL WIN RACE 8 GALAXY AFFAIR was able to sit three deep the trip last start and hold out the late challenge of stable-mate Bird’s The Word. They square off again in the 2023 Kambalda Cup and see no reason why GALAXY AFFAIR can’t hold out BIRD’S THE WORD again. Taj Dyson picks up the ride and takes 1.5kg off the back of GALAXY AFFAIR and he’s drawn to get a lovely run tucked away in behind the speed. BIRD’S THE WORD has barrier 10 of 11 which won’t make his task of turning the tables easy, however, Tash Faithfull rides Kalgoorlie as well as anyone. TIME SCALE should be about ready to lead and roll. TOWN HALL has been flying for John Arthur Mason and with no weight he’s very dangerous if he gets across. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 11 Suggested Bet – GALAXY AFFAIR WIN RACE 9 KICK A GOAL SON probably hasn’t quite been at the same level which saw him run a narrow second to Galaxy Affair in a 70+ 1400 four starts ago but drawn barrier 1 with ZJP taking 3kg off his back you just start to wonder whether they’ll look to kick through and lead as they did on that occasion. His best is easily good enough so banking on him getting away cleanly from the inside barrier. NO WHISPERING returned to Peter Fernie stable and to Kalgoorlie last start and got the job done impressively from out in front. This is harder. CELEBRITY WITNESS is no stranger to the KBRC and joins Dave Smith. MY BOY EDDY has all the ability in the world but seems to have a few tricks.
