RACE 4 No.2 Cylinder

Exceed And Excel colt from the James Cummings/Godolphin yard who resumes off a break. He’s only had the two starts to date for a pair of second placings back in November last year. At the latest one of those he just couldn’t get the room needed in the straight and ended up missing the boat as the winner raced away. Trialled very well on Monday and can return a winner.

RACE 6 No.2 Mariamia

Joe Pride trained mare who is absolutely flying this prep having won both starts the latest being the Group 2 Expressway when let rip near the 300m. She’s very well placed under the set weights and penalties conditions of the race and has the race fitness edge over a number of her rivals on Saturday. Yes, the draw looks a little awkward however she has the speed to go forward and slot in ok.

RACE 10 No.6 Midwest

I’m tipping Mariamia in Race 6, no surprise I’m tipping Midwest in the last! He was beaten by her last time he raced and she then went on to win that Expressway at Group 2 level. He’s a model of consistency wherever he goes, his last 3 starts have been in three different states and he’s run a placing on each occasion. Nicely drawn on Saturday for Tim Clark he’ll find a spot early and from there prove the one to beat.
