Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on December 6, 2022December 6, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. THREE GRACES ran well on debut and has jumped out nicely for her return. SHANGHAI VENTURE has race fitness and looks suited back up to 1300m. KERMACETO has jumped out well for her debut and looks suited at this trip. SONOMA COAST has shown a bit at the jumpouts without being tested. SOUTHERN FIRE and PAMPUNI both ran ok on debut and will strip fitter. Selections: 9,6,2,7 Suggested Bet: Happy to look and learn Race 2 DELICATE BABE has jumped out nicely and changed stable since her encouraging debut. The form through that race has held up well. SMULLEN also produced an encouraging debut and looks suited stepping up to 1400m. RHEINBERG has solid NZ form and has trialled well to debut for the new stable. ANNIHILATE had his chance first up but swaps winkers for blinkers and will strip fitter. SIX FEET resumes at what looks a suitable distance. Selections: 13,12,3,6 Suggested Bet: Delicate Babe each way Race 3 RIVERPLATE had been competitive in much stronger races than his last start maiden win and looks hard to beat again from the inside draw. GABSTAR may need some luck weaving through the field but ran well first up and is suited by the rise in trip. OBFUSCATION is racing well and looking like 1400m will suit. IN YOUR HANDS looked good winning on debut and should relish stepping up in trip. AEECEE SUPREME has jumped out well to resume. ULTIMATE KISS is fit and consistent. Selections: 1,7,2,10 Suggested Bet: Riverplate to win Race 4 ST LAWERENCE looks promising and has jumped out well to resume. RUGGIERO has returned well, there was plenty of merit it his maiden win last start. RICH DIVINITY was wide and working in a good form race last start. He still has to prove himself on firmer ground but deserves another go. RHINOCEROS comes through the same race and will strip fitter. ANTARCTIC OCEAN can give sight on speed. Selections: 3,8,2,4 Suggested Bet: St Lawrence to win Race 5 HARD TO CROSS has progressed well at each start to date and won in the manner of a smart horse last time. GHETTO SUPASTAR hit the line strongly to win last start and also looks progressive. LORD GEORGE won well last start after a luckless debut and gets C. Williams. AUROLAA won well with the application of blinkers last start. LEVAGGIO is a maiden but looks suited by the rise in trip. Selections: 1,2,6,4 Suggested Bet: Hard to Cross to win Race 6 RICK’S CAFE is racing in great form this preparation and Secret Glamour further enhanced her form winning at Rosehill last Satrurday. I AM NEWS is also racing in good form and will make his own luck. HIGHLAND JAKK will strip fitter third up and looks suited stepping up to 1800m. WHATAFOX will also strip fitter third up and gets blinkers back on. SO UNUSUAL and DODGY ONE have claims. Selections: 11,5,2,6 Suggested Bet: Rick’s Cafe each way Race 7 POCKET CHANGE worked home strongly first up and looks well suited by the rise in distance. FORBIDDEN CITY also ran well first up, she looks suited by the slight rise in trip and races well here. SUPARAZI won well last time after having no luck the start prior. OXLEY JACK is flying, he’s deep into his preparation and on trial at the trip, but should give a sight on speed. RUTHERFORD has jumped out ok to resume from a lengthy break. Selections: 4,12,1,3 Suggested Bet: Pocket Change each way Race 8 CEASAR hit the line well behind Pal D’Oro first up. He has gone on to win again in stronger company and that race also produced Arran Bay to win on Pakenham Cup Day. NETANYAHU has returned in good form and can make his own luck. BEAUFORT PARK finished behind Netanyahu last start and gets C. Williams aboard. SAUCEY HORSEY has been kept fresh since her dominant first up win. WORSFOLD has been jumping out ok for the new stable without his race day blinkers. COMANCHE BRAVE has also been jumping out ok to resume. KNOCK KNOCK won well last start.
