RACE 4 No.4 Ginja

Consistent galloper from the O’Dea/Hoysted yard who looks well placed tonight. Thought he was ridden a treat here last start by Baylee Nothdurft slicing through the field making ground right to the line to beat all bar Princess Cavallo. They meet again tonight with Ginja 1.5kg better off at the weights for a 1.3 length defeat. Confident he can turn the tables.

RACE 6 No.18 Checkers

Happy to have something each-way on this Stuart Kendrick trained galloper at the double-figure odds. Although no match the first two across the line last start he stuck to his task well in the straight and shouldn’t find this any harder at all. He loves the wet ground and from the good draw can settle closer in the run this time around.

RACE 7 No.1 Better Than Epic

Chris Anderson and Brad Stewart combine here on this lightly raced 3yo who resumes having not raced since early October. That run was here when narrowly beaten in a close go giving plenty to the line in what was likely a slightly tougher race. Good gate tonight he’s bred to be a swimmer suggesting the damp conditions tonight might just enhance his chances.
