Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 20, 2022January 20, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 SANGUE REALE (10) hasn’t lived up to his early promise but has changed stables and has trialled nicely. He is the only horse off the back line so has options at the start and should give a great sight. VALBONNE (1) has led and been placed at his last two starts and must be considered again. BETTORSTARTDREAMING (7) led and finished 2nd in 1.52.8 two starts back and will be hard to catch if he finds the top. BEE SEVENTEEN (2) ran on well to finish 3rd here last week and can be placed again. Tips: 10 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: SANGUE REALE (10) to win. Race 2 TYPHOON BANNER (1) fell at his last start but looks the leader here and will be hard to beat if he hasn’t taken any ill effects from that tumble. ARMA EINSTEIN (2) disappointed at his last start but would be the main danger on his previous start when he won well here. ALICE KAY (6) has been placed at her last four starts but has an awkward draw to overcome. PRADASON (11) has a nice trailing draw and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 6 11 Suggested Bet: TYPHOON BANNER (1) to win. Race 3 MEDIEVAL MAN (3) worked his way to the front and recorded a comfortable victory here last week and can repeat the dose if he can find the top. THE KRAKEN (1) last victory came when he led throughout from this draw and has options at the start. MIRRAGON (8) ran on well to defeat an easier field here last week and will be charging home again. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (7) has been placed in three of her last four starts and can play a part. Tips: 3 1 8 7 Suggested Bet: MEDIEVAL MAN (3) to win. Race 4 MIGHTY RONALDO (2) suffered major interference when put out of the race as a $2.10 favourite at his last start. He is the class runner of this field and is clearly the one to beat. SIR GALAHAD (1) is first-up and holds the key to the race as he can lead if desired and would be hard to catch if near his best. WILL I ROCKNROLL (3) is likely to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. ALTA INTRIGUE (5) is racing well and can be in the money but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 2 1 3 5 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY RONALDO (2) to win. Race 5 PAPINIK (4) has won 12 of his 18 starts and will be looking to win here to force his way into the WA Pacing Cup field. ROCKNROLL LINCOLN (2) has improved in every start after his long break and should make his presence felt here. GALACTIC STAR (5) is proven at this level and is capable of winning this with the right run. HAMPTON BANNER (3) will be hard to catch if he finds the top as there doesn’t appear to be any pressure in this event. Tips: 4 2 5 3 Suggested Bet: PAPINIK (4) to win. Race 6 MINSTREL (1) was a strong winner here before working his way to the front when 2nd in 1.52.6 at his last start. He will be hard to catch if he can find the front but will still be thereabouts if he is crossed early. MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) has won 18 of his 22 career starts and has the best form in the race but he has a horror draw to overcome. CHICAGO BULL (4) bounced back into the winners’ circle with a strong win here last week and has to be respected. VAMPIRO (3) is a definite winning chance if he can cross at the start. Tips: 1 9 4 3 Suggested Bet: MINSTREL (1) to win. Race 7 DONT BOTHER ME NONE (2) has won ten of his 16 race starts and is clearly the one to beat. The only concern is that he was unplaced in his only start from the stand but he wasn’t himself that day. BEAT CITY (10) worked hard when a gallant 2nd here last week and is the obvious danger if the favourite doesn’t do things right. HOTFOOT IT (1) galloped out here last week when 4th in that event and should be thereabouts with a safer beginning. CAPTURED DELIGHT (5) would give them something to catch if she found the front. Tips: 2 10 1 5 Suggested Bet: DONT BOTHER ME NONE (2) to win. Race 8 NEWSY (3) has only been placed in one of her past four starts but has been battling bad draws and looks a big improver tonight. BETTOR GET IT ON (5) followed four consecutive 2nds with a 1.56.5 victory at her last start and looms as a major player. SAHARA STORM (7) disappointed at her last start but has been freshened since that effort and must be considered on her previous consecutive wins. MISS MUCHO (10) will strip fitter for her first-up 4th and can be in the finish. Tips: 3 5 7 10 Suggested Bet: NEWSY (3) to win. Race 9 TRICKY MIKI (1) won the Golden Slipper before going for a spell and resumed with a strong 2nd to FLOEWRITER (5). He gets the barrier advantage tonight and is clearly the one to beat. THE MIKI TAKER (3) was a solid first-up winner in easier company and has proved to be up to this level as a 2YO. FLOEWRITER (5) has defeated similar fields at his last two starts and has the gate speed to make things interesting at the start. SWINGBAND (4) ran on well to finish 3rd to FLOEWRITER (5) at his first run back from a spell and will strip fitter. Tips: 1 3 5 4 Suggested Bet: TRICKY MIKI (1) to win. Race 10 ROCK ME OVER (10) isn’t racing at his best but drops in class and can give a sight at each way odds. MARQUISARD (3) has trialled nicely for his return and couldn’t find a better field to meet first-up. ALLWOODS ROCKNROLL (6) lost his driver when poised to be in the finish last week and will be hitting the line strongly here. C C CHEVRON (1) has been unplaced in her last 14 starts but gets her chance to be in the money against this opposition. Tips: 10 3 6 1 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (10) each way. Market Market
