RACE 7 No.2 Tambo’s Mate

Queensland visitor from the premiere Tony Gollan stable who comes off a last start Doomben win. He’s a horse who needs wet ground to show his best which was certainly the case last start with the edge off the track, he scored a perfect run as well with Ryan Maloney tagging the leader before going through underneath that runner in the straight. He’ll get the wet conditions to suit and again draws to gain the right run.

RACE 8 No.13 Brutality

Joe Pride and Kathy O’Hara combine here with this gelding who goes around third up tomorrow. His chances are greatly enhanced by the wet surface as he’s three time soft track/two time heavy track winner who has registered only the two placings from eight tries on dry ground, he’s definitely a ‘wettie’ who also holds a good record on the track and over the trip.

RACE 10 No.9 Frances Guardi

Taking a punt on this Frankel gelding who is yet to race on heavy ground however did place his only soft start which was back in the UK at only his second start which was in Listed company. Outgunned by his stablemate when probably just needing to see clear running earlier than the 200m last start he drops in weight and should be at peak fitness third run back from a break.
