Chris Nelson’s Sunshine Coast Best Bets Posted on October 7, 2021October 7, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.4 Keefy David Vandyke and Mark Du Plessis combine here with this lightly raced 3yo who surely has superior form to his rivals. Third behind Startantes first up, beat all bar the winner Bulloo in the Toowoomba Guineas last start and has a win and close up 5th sandwiched in between those placings. Startantes placed at Group 1 level at Randwick last Saturday whilst Bulloo goes around in the Group 1 Spring Champion this Saturday on the same track. By All Too Hard the additional 200m here should pose no problems. RACE 5 No.4 Vapourizing Placed in town his last couple of starts beaten only small margins on each occasion gets his chance to break through tonight. Flashed home off a strong tempo two back before finding the 1200m just a little too far for him last time out. Like the fact he’s been given a slight freshen up which will have him nice and sharp to tackle the 1000m scamper. Yes he’s up in weight however that’s offset by the drop in class. RACE 6 No.11 The Stifmeister Locally trained galloper from the Kendrick stable who has looked good in his lead up trials. A veteran of only 4 career starts his first and second runs resulted in a close up second and a win both in Saturday company at Eagle Farm. He was then thrown in the deep end tackling Listed and Group grade where he failed to measure up. With no weight on his back plus the inside draw he looks hard to beat back to a more suitable race.
