Chris Nelson’s Toowoomba Best Bets Posted on September 25, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 6 No.16 Tracy May Tony Gollan trained mare resuming from a break tomorrow. She’s only had the 3 starts for the stable winning the first couple before suffering cardiac arrhythmia & being sent for an immediate spell. Really liked her recent soft barrier trial placing (which she could have won) and keep in mind she’s the only horse in Queensland to have beaten stablemate Run For Glory who’s won 5 on the trot! RACE 7 No.8 Free Fly Too One of the highlights of the day is the Toowoomba Cup and this recent addition to the Desleigh Forster stable should gain a perfect run. There doesn’t look to be much speed on the map suggesting he can lob in behind until the pressure goes on before the home turn. Loved the way he kept grinding to the line last start which suggests the step up in trip is ideal. RACE 9 No.4 Fasano Tidy first up Eagle Farm winner before running home solidly same track second up in a race which was run at a very slow speed early on. Mathematically those off the pace had no right to win or even finish within a length of the winner who had a picnic up front suggesting his effort was very good. Drawn well tomorrow looks tough to beat. Quaddie 3, 12, 16 1, 2, 6, 8 3, 4, 5, 6 4, 9, 13 Market Market
