The Scout: EPL Week 1 Posted on September 11, 2020September 11, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Fulham vs Arsenal Fulham return to the Premier League after one year in the Championship and an impressive season under manager Scott Parker. Arsenal will be looking to put last season behind them and build off their win in the Community Shield Final (against Liverpool). The Gunners have made some big additions to their squad, with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and former Chelsea player Willian joining over the offseason. Throw in Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe, and Arsenal have the makings of a top four Premier League side. The last time these two sides met at Craven Cottage, Arsenal were victors 5-1. If the new squad members have gelled, we could be looking at a similar scoreline here. Suggested Bet: Arsenal Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.30* Crystal Palace vs Southampton Crystal Palace had an abysmal end to last season while Southampton impressed many on their way to an 11th place finish. The Saints play an aggressive brand of football and will be looking to press and pressure Crystal Palace from the outset here. This game plan was particularly fruitful on the road last season with the Saints claiming points in 13 of their 19 away Premier League fixtures. Danny Ings scored 22 goals for Southampton last season and I think he offers great value to get them on the board in 2020/21. Suggested Bet: Danny Ings First Goalscorer @ $3.90* Tottenham vs Everton Both of these sides were disappointing last season, with Tottenham finishing 6th and Everton 12th. Jose Mourinho is one of football’s greatest minds and will need to be to harness Tottenham’s attacking firepower. Their latest signing, Matt Doherty (previously from Wolves), adds a new avenue to goal, something they lacked last season. Everton should improve on last season’s result, but I’m expecting their best will take time given the number of new signings at the club. Tottenham to get the job done here. Suggested Bet: Tottenham (Match Result) @ $2* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 11th September 2020. Market Market
