Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on August 28, 2020August 28, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.3 One For Betty David Vandyke has this mare flying at the moment having won both starts since joining the stable. She resumed at Eagle Farm with a strong finishing win in slick time before again proving far too good at the Sunshine Coast on soft ground last time out. Down in the weights taking on only mediocre opposition she looks all set to bring up the hat trick. RACE 5 No.4 Smartedge New addition to the Gollan stable this former NSW galloper has only had the single start for the yard 4 weeks ago. Never better than 3 wide on that occasion without any cover he was entitled to tire down the straight. He didn’t shirk his task one bit though and has been kept fresh since with a winning trial thrown in to keep him up to the mark. RACE 9 No.8 The Kingdom Very consistent galloper from the Kelly stable on the Gold Coast who loves Eagle Farm and particularly the 1800m trip. He’s won 5 from 7 at the track with 3 of those over the 1800m where he is unbeaten. He’ll give them a start from the wide gate however once in the straight will be winding up big time and prove very tough to hold out. Quaddie 2, 6, 7, 8 1, 10, 14 10 2, 3, 8, 9 Market Market
