Chris Nelson’s Sunshine Coast Best Bets Posted on July 10, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 1 No.1 Kisukano Toowoomba trained filly who hasn’t been spotted since winning the 2yo Jewel on the Gold Coast earlier in the year. She overhauled Rothfire on that occasion which we now know is a very strong formline with Rothfire winning both starts during the winter including the Group 1 J J Atkins. Interestingly her only defeat was behind Rothfire suggesting there’s not a great deal between the pair. RACE 8 No.3 River Racer We’re going to be racing on a heavy surface tomorrow and need to look for those runners who have handed similar going or give strong indication they will. Not many handle it better than this mare who won this race last year on a similar surface. Interestingly she has only raced on dry tracks since with only the one win to her credit. She’s a swimmer! RACE 9 No.13 Musical Genius Mare from the Barry Lockwood stable who resumes from a break tomorrow having had only the 4 starts last prep for a strong win and three unplaced efforts when close up on each occasion. She’s trialled well leading into her return run, races well when fresh and has won her only start on heavy ground. Well worth an each-way ticket in a wide open race. Quaddie 1, 2, 7 1, 3, 7, 12 2, 3, 6, 11 13, 16 Market Market
