Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on April 3, 2020April 3, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 6 No.10 Niedorp Well performed filly who was sent south for the Melbourne spring last year and performed well in stronger class races without winning. She trialled recently behind her very pacy stablemate Sugar Boom and although no match for her certainly wasn’t pushed out in a fast run heat. She looks classes above her opposition tomorrow and should be winning. RACE 8 No.4 Get Stuck In Tipping a big day for the Tony Gollan stable tomorrow & this looks the best of them. Absolutely flying this prep chasing home Emerald Kingdom (won 6 straight) first up before leading and bolting in at Eagle Farm last time out clocking a very slick final 600/400m. With the good draw tomorrow he can lead or box seat, certainly doesn’t need to improve any to win however he likely will! RACE 9 No.4 Macewen Lucky to stay on his feet last start when he clipped heels & almost fell at Eagle Farm when according to both trainer and jockey was travelling better than the eventual winner (who was positioned directly in front of him). His first up effort was a good one closing off solidly when into the clear and the likely strong speed in this race will suit him nicely. Good each-way value.
