Race 5 – No. 1 Royce Monelli

Fitter for recent racing and back up to a more suitable trip where he has saluted in 10 of 20. Drawn to have a soft run and can go mighty close to winning this.

Race 6 – No. 1 Nando’s Thunder

Experienced chaser who is capable of leaving the boxes in a hurry. He does his best work in red and will find this much easier than a last start 5th in FFA company. Must be respected.

Race 9 – No. 1 Aurora Maya

Back to back placings in sub 23 seconds and drawn ideally in the cherry. Gets her chance to break the drought.

Race 2 – No. 1 On The Take

Can be risky early and has the habit of using plenty of the track but he has a solid record in red and is capable of running time over the trip.

Race 2 – No. 8 Werewolf Monelli

Has the early pace to overcome the wide draw and was extremely impressive throughout the Perth Cup Series. Looms as the one to beat.

Race 4 – No. 1 Zack Monelli

Thundered home to just miss in the big one last week, beaten less than a length by SIMON TOLD HELEN (6) in 29.86. Appeals greatly from the rails draw and looks hard to beat this time.

Race 7 – No. 4 Rolo Monelli

Overcame plenty of bother and produced an eye-catching finish in Consolation 2 of the Perth Cup last start in the driving rain. Back up to 600m where he is unbeaten and is capable of keeping that record in tact.

Each Way:

Race 3 – No. 4 Cosmic Gas

Ran out of puff when prominent for a long way last week, finishing 4th in a modest 30.39. Capable of better and has fitness on his side now. Can bounce back.
