Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on September 7, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 1 No. 8 Beau Arrow Lightly raced 5yo who has impressed at his two starts to date winning on each occasion both being first up. Obviously he takes a step up in grade tomorrow however the way he was able to round up his rivals after drawing a wide gate last time suggests he’s above average and well up to the task. Expect him to settle a lot closer from his good draw tomorrow. RACE 7 No.1 Sold For Song Class runner of the race who resumed with a cracking effort at the Gold Coast running on strongly late in an unsuitably run race behind Dal Cielo who was able to lead, dictate and win. Up to 1350m tomorrow and still on the fresh side she draws perfectly for Jimmy Orman who will have her positioned no worse than midfield and well within striking distance in the straight. RACE 9 No.8 Zofonic Dancer Tidy effort beating all bar the winner first up at the Sunshine Coast closing off nicely along the inside. No doubt fitter for it and will appreciate the step up in distance tomorrow as he is twice a winner over the mile trip. Drawn ok for the in-form Dale Smith he handles any give in the ground and looks terrific value in the early markets.
