Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on April 12, 2018April 12, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 OUR BONNIE GIRL draws a gate for the first time this preparation and has blinkers applied. Stable in serious form and she goes close. GOOD FORTUNE has not drawn a gate either the entire preparation, gets under the radar. TIPS AND SCANDALS was good last start in a nice form reference. CLEVER DICK will break through soon. Numbers: 11 – 10 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – OUR BONNIE GIRL WIN Race 2 FALCON CREST looks poised to put another Listed Feature in his cabinet. This race is no harder than the Grandstand Cup. PINZU is the X-factor runner and they probably targeted this race a long time ago. NORTH RIDGE was impressive last start. ALREADY FAMOUS is ultra consistent. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – FALCON CREST WIN Race 3 THREE SECRETS backs up from a reasonable effort in the Raconteur. His previous form was excellent. ROCKON TOMMY looked to return well and if he could settle a pair closer goes well. PEARLS AND PRAWNS is exciting but she has had three identical runs in her career to date. IN LOVE WITH PARIS is a classy type but sharply up in weight. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – THREE SECRETS WIN SuperPick - Race 3 No. 4 THREE SECRETS - Money Back Race 4 BELTER set some electric sections in his most recent race and simply would not lay down. If he finds the front will be very hard to catch. GIGANTE went super first-up for a horse who usually works into a preparation. FLOYD will likely have to sit outside Belter or snag back. THE CELT is going great guns. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – BELTER WIN Race 5 PRIZE CATCH is going well and capable of stringing a few together. Looks enough pace in the race for him. WAR JEUNE slides forward to lead or sit outside the leader, he is tough. TAXAGANO gets another lovely run midfield with cover. MISSILE LAUNCH was brilliant last preparation but this is one of his tougher tests. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – PRIZE CATCH WIN Race 6 FRIAR FOX maps to get a near identical run to where she settled last start. Stays the trip and looks like the winner on paper but the price is extremely short. PRUE showed genuine staying ability last start and gets a noted front running rider aboard. LIKE A BUTTERFLY is drawn awkwardly but going well. SUGAR CAIN is dangerous from three back the fence. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 13 Suggested Bet – FRIAR FOX WIN Race 7 LORDHELPMERUN looks a very progressive type and he should get a lovely run midfield and the pace in front should be electric. VALOUR ROAD was the big winner from the barrier draw of those in single figures. Trialed enormous. DRIFTSTAR is a bit forgotten after his Perth Stakes flop. Draws a gate, blinkers on and from the best juvenile yard. LADY COSMOLOGY from the gate, who knows. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 11 Suggested Bet – LORDHELPMERUN EACHWAY Race 8 COUGAR NIGHTS falls into the most winnable race he has contested in a while. Going better than reads on paper. NOT AGAIN KEN is an 1800m horse and the drop back, gear change and Smith’s engagement makes him worth considering. RAGAZZO D’ORO is the safest way to play this race, very consistent. SOMEDAY ONE DAY would get some of mine if he does back-up from Wednesday. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – COUGAR NIGHTS EACHWAY Race 9 GET THE VIBE was in some sort of mood behind the gates at her most recent and then missed the kick which is unlike her. Jason Brown back aboard means she’ll be in the box seat. FANCY FOX went huge first-up last preparation without at trial. NECKLET is exciting but drawn a little sticky and likely to go round short. MY LAINA seemed to appreciate a change in racing pattern. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – GET THE VIBE EACHWAY Quad (Race 6 – 9) 2 1,2,3,4,5,10 1,2,4,6,8 1,3,6,7,9,10,12 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2018-04-14/pr” linkrel=””]
