Scott’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on February 20, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SANTIAGO GAL should get a lovely run either leading or box seating and can go close. ATACAMA SKY is a chance of being caught deep but is weighted to win. MISS SWINDLE sat outside the leader and bolted in with the rail out. GIGIDY GIGIDY GOO next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet –SANTIAGO GAL WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 3 SANTIAGO GAL - Win Boost Race 2 WEE CENT can slide forwards and sit outside the leader. This is a much more suitable assignment than last time out. DASHING AFFAIR was strong with the rail out and gets a gun draw here. NEUROLOGICAL destroyed moderate opposition at York, can measure up. IZ THAT RIGHT was an eye catcher fresh but conditions unlikely to suit. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – WEE CENT WIN Race 3 DOUBLE THE PRO was brave in defeat in what could be a stronger form reference than most here. Back to 1200m and rolling forwards looks very suitable. ROYAL STATUE improved 10L with the blinkers, could be a nice one. JELANI EXPRESS is honest and consistent. GOOD FORTUNE is going far better than numerical form suggests. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE THE PRO WIN Race 4 MY FAIR BEAUTY has really gone from strength to strength in the last 6 months and can carry weight. I DONE IT is best ridden aggressively and allowed to stride from the 1000 running rivals off their feet. If he leads and runs he can go close. SAXAPAK is hard to catch but always there abouts. FIVE DEGREES has put together three above average runs. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MY FAIR BEAUTY EACHWAY Race 5 HOODLUM THUNDER was an alarming drifter at his most recent and ran accordingly. His previous two were very good. SENTIMENTAL FRIEND ran far better in defeat than when winning his maiden and must be respected. TWENTY THREE RED is improving with racing. FAIR SONARI could be the pace maker and is consistent. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – HOODLUM THUNDER WIN Race 6 FRIAR FOX looks like a potential Oaks proposition and if she is going to go anywhere near featuring in that race should be belting these. FREEDOM BY CHOICE was strong first-up at a mile and better suited over this trip. MRS HARTLEY broke through for a deserved win, she’s flying. ROUGHEAD has had next to no luck at three runs back. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – FRIAR FOX WIN Race 7 WEST FIFTY FOURTH won well in midweek grade and then found some of the more experienced rivals a bit sharp in Saturday grade. This is a nice assignment for him. BUSHFIRE BLONDE is going very well and the step out in trip looks suitable for her. GEIGER GEM hit form last start and can go on with it. OMINOUS WARNING should find the front with ease and must be included. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – WEST FIFTY FOURTH EACHWAY Race 8 THE BLACK WATCH will go round at cricket score odds but is probably going a bit better than it looks. If Hill can steal a cheap lead in a moderate affair he could prove the blowout. THE BIG SHOW should get every favor from the gate. BROKER broke his maiden in style. MISSISSIPPI DELTA won well fresh in a questionable maiden. Numbers: 12 – 4 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – THE BLACK WATCH PLACE Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,3 2,3,4,6 1,2,6,8,9,12,13 1,4,8,12 Bet Now
