Trainer: Simon Miller. Jockey: Peter Knuckey. TAB favourite: Speeding Comet $2.60. What the winner’s said: Kyle Nowland-It was a good tough solid win. Horse to follow: Stored Energy, impeded approaching the 200m, was doing her best work late in the quickest final 600m. Perth Racing Instagram Plate (1800m) Who Dat Singa ends his three-year-old season in style when he dashed clear on straightening before drawing away to win by a dominant 4 ¾ lengths. Trainer: Alan Mathews. Jockey: Pat Carbery. TAB favourite: Who Dat Singa $2.70. What the winner’s said: Alan Mathews-He obviously has a fair amount of ability and there is upside. Horse to follow: Who Dat Singa shapes as one of the better three-year-olds who will spell before being set for the WA Derby in the autumn. Mash’D N Kutcher At Perth Cup Handicap (1600m) Rodeo Drive settled back from her wide barrier but sprinted sharply over the final stages. Trainer: Neville Parnham. Jockey: Brad Parnham. TAB favourite: $4.40 Rodeo Drive. What the winner’s said: I’ve always had an opinion of her and hopefully there are more wins in store. Hard luck story: Danish Moment raced wide throughout. Stafford Brothers At Perth Cup Handicap (1200m) An all the way win from Ominous Warning who kicked clear and never looked in any danger when spacing his next rival, Festive Excess, by two lengths. Trainer: Keith Frost. Jockey: Takahide Ikenushi. TAB favourite: Cuanzo $3.10. What the winner’s said: Keith Frost-He is a very strong and powerful horse. Perth Racing Young Membership Plate (1100m) Scales Of Justice was sent out a hot favourite and had to earn his victory but despite racing fiercely in the early and middle section of the race he always appeared to have the field covered and hit the line strongly. Trainer: Lindsey Smith. Jockey: Paul Harvey. TAB favourite: Scales Of Justice $1.80. What the winner’s said: Lindsey Smith-Somewhere along the line he will win a good race. Horses to follow: Scales Of Justice looks to have a fair amount of talent. Glitterbell, who was slightly impeded and Lucky Legacy worked to the line strongly. Perth Racing-Sponsor A Race Handicap (1000m) Express Dancer overcame several hurdles including a drop back to 1000m, a slow start, an impeded run early in the straight, but despite spotting the leader a fair start he sailed along the fence for an impressive victory. Trainer: Grant Williams. Jockey: William Pike. TAB favourite: $2.30. What the winner’s said: Bob Peters-I was a bit worried about the distance. Disappointing: Spiritual Eyes was the first horse beaten after racing outside of the leader, Fuld’s Bet.
