Deane Lester’s Sandown Tips Posted on November 11, 2016November 11, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester RACE 6 – NO.1 MORTON’S FORK MORTON’S FORK has the right credentials to win the Sandown Guineas (1600m) and looks the standout bet of the day. The John O’Shea trained colt was brave in defeat when second behind the exciting COMIN’ THROUGH in the Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on October 29. It is usually the best form reference leading into this race and, this year, MORTON’S FORK is the sole runner coming through this form reference. It looks a thin race for quality and, whilst respecting the fillies JENNIFER LYNN and FARAWAY TOWN, MORTON’S FORK should prove too good for this field. SuperPick - Race 6 No. 1 Morton's Fork - Profit Plus – 25% (Win) RACE 9 – NO.8 TUCANCHOO The Eclipse Stakes (1800m) looks to be the target race in the campaign for TUCANCHOO, who appears ready to peak following two runs back from a spell and represents good each way value. The Team Hawkes trained gelding showed that he is ready to win again with a solid second behind the highly regarded FABRIZIO in the Cup Day Plate (1800m). He is a winner at the Sandown Hillside circuit and has the right credentials for this race; good each way chance. RACE 10 – NO.2 SILENT SEDITION SILENT SEDITION looks to be building up to a win and gets her chance for that victory when she runs in the Summoned Stakes (1500m). The four year old ran a terrific first-up second behind in-form mare SHEIDEL over 1200 metres at Caulfield on October 8 before another solid performance in finishing 3rd behind ARTISTRY over 1400 metres at Flemington on November 1. It is only 11 days between runs this time which will suit SILENT SEDITION ideally and she’s sure to run well again. Button
