Chris’ Doomben Preview Posted on July 29, 2016August 1, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 4 No. 3 Choice Bro Toowoomba galloper who won his hometown feature the Weetwood Handicap 4 starts back coming from a clear last to mow down the leaders. Liked his last start effort here at Doomben closing strongly from the back of the field over 1200m. Tomorrow he rises to a more suitable 1350m trip in a race where there looks to be early speed. Appears to be good each-way value. RACE 5 No. 15 Old Habits Kurt Goldman trained gelding who although unplaced each of his past three starts has had little go his way being held up at the Gold Coast three back, found the wrong part of the track two back before again held up latest here recently behind Angel Dancer who has since won again. Scratched on Wednesday at Eagle Farm to be kept for this. RACE 6 No .9 Rhyme Nor Rhythm Lightly raced Toowoomba trained galloper from the in form Lindsay Hatch yard who has won 2 of his 3 starts to date. Bolted in on debut, before beating a subsequent 6 length winner second start when resuming. Latest outing was a tidy third at Ipswich when stepping up in distance. He did a bit wrong that day before knuckling down well late and finding the line in strong fashion. No shortage of early support for this one.
