Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 29, 2016August 1, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CYRIL LILLEYMAN MEMORIAL 2YO MS PACE HEZA HEAD HONCHO (3) burst onto the scene with victories at his first two starts but has only managed two placings from his subsequent six runs. He has been in strong fields and is the best drawn of the main chances tonight. COURAGE TO LIVE (6) has won two of his three starts and was impressive in getting over the top of VINCENZO PERRUGIA (5) and ITS MAJOR BUBBLES (8) last start, while that pair are proven in this class and must be respected. Tips: 3 6 5 8 Suggested Bet: HEZA HEAD HONCHO (3) each way. Race 2: GEORGE MALONEY MEMORIAL MS PACE ROCKNROLL WHITBY (6) put some ordinary form behind him with a dominant 32m win in weaker company before backing that up with a slashing 2nd to Harry Hoo last week and this looks to be a slight drop in class. GAZ WANNABET (11) faced the breeze and ran 5th in the same race and should be in the finish tonight. EL HOMBRE (10) is capable of posting quick times when racing on the pegs and can figure with luck. KASEY KAHNE (1) goes up in class but is racing well and has the pole. Tips: 6 11 10 1 Suggested Bet: ROCKNROLL WHITBY (6) each way. Race 3: BILL STEER MEMORIAL 3YO FILLIES MS PACE JASMIN AMAL (5) was a close 2nd to MAIDENIMPRESSION (6) at Pinjarra before leading throughout to record a comfortable victory over a similar field last week. She isn’t as well drawn tonight but should still give a great sight. MAIDENIMPRESSION (6) has improved a great deal of late, winning two of her last three and must be considered. MARY CATHERINE (9) has been very competitive against the males and will appreciate racing her own sex here. MAIA MAGUIRE (1) has the draw to be thereabouts. Tips: 5 6 9 1 Suggested Bet: MARY CATHERINE (9) each way. Race 4: TOM THOMPSON MEMORIAL MARES MS LEDA MCNALLY (9) isn’t at the top of her game but has won more metro races than the rest of the field combined and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. She has started at big odds when unplaced behind Waylade and Runoneover but can be driven aggressively tonight. TYPHOON TAN (2) gets the draw she needs to show her best and should be competitive. FORMYEYESONLY (6) and BLACKNSWEET ADDA (8) fought out an easier event last week and aren’t as well drawn but should still be thereabouts Tips: 9 2 6 8 Suggested Bet: LEDA MCNALLY (9) each way. Race 5: RON GALLOP MEMORIAL MS PACE BEAUDIENE BOAZ (9) has won 22 of his 30 starts and the Hall camp have declared that he should be favourite for the Inters. He effortlessly won in in 1.53.0 at his return from a spell and was reportedly underdone so he is more than capable of overcoming the wide draw tonight. MY HARD COPY (8) disappointed at his return but he has done that in the past and bounced back quickly and is too good to overlook. CYAMACH (5) and WAYLADE (7) were placed behind Runonever last start and both can be in the money again. Tips: 9 8 5 7 Suggested Bet: BEAUDIENE BOAZ (9) to win. Race 6: COLIN HAMMERSLEY MEMORIAL CHANDON FINAL GLENLOCHAR (1) has been racing well, finishing just behind the placegetters at his last two starts and gets his chance here. He is definitely not the best horse in this field but if he isn’t unduly pressured in front will take a lot of catching. MYNAMESKENNY (11) resumed with a victory to take his winning sequence to seven and can make it eight with the right run. IMA CONNOISSEUR (10) isn’t known as a sit-sprinter but should enjoy a nice run and can be in the money. AMERICAN BOY (8) was beaten into 2nd but far from disgraced last start and will be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 11 10 8 Suggested Bet: GLENLOCHAR (1) to win. Race 7: JOHN HIGGINS MEMORIAL FINAL MS PACE CHAR DO NEIGH (4) has been impressive in winning his three WA starts, including a heat of this race when he sat outside KIWI LEGEND (10) and put that pacer to the sword. He is likely to have to work in the run but is still the one to beat. BUNGALOW BILL (6) sat outside THREE BEARS (8) when an excellent 2nd in his heat and is a definite winning chance. RUB OF THE GREEN (1) made up a lot of ground to finish 4th in the same heat but has the draw tonight. KIWI LEGEND (10) could get a nice run in transit and could be the value. Tips: 4 6 1 10 Suggested Bet: KIWI LEGEND (10) each way. Race 8: TABTOUCH MS PACE PHOENIX WARRIOR (12) has performed well to be placed at his last two starts, both off back marks in stands. He will appreciate the return to the mobile and loves the staying distance. BRONZE SEEKER (7) has finished just behind the placegetters in races won by Run Oneover and Beaudiene Boaz recently and will appreciate the significant drop in class. BETTOR OFFER (9) resumes from a short break but has class on his side. OHOKA KENTUCKY (1) doesn’t always begin well from the pole but should be thereabouts. Tips: 12 7 9 1 Suggested Bet: PHOENIX WARRIOR (12) to win. Race 9: GLOUCESTER PARK HEAD CHEF DANIEL BATSON TROTTERS MOBILE INVASIVE (9) has hit top form, winning at his last two starts. He has the best turn of foot in the field and enjoys this distance. LIGHTNING JOY (4) has chased home INVASIVE (9) at his two WA starts but could turn the tables with the right run. BARRY (3) is racing consistently and is the best drawn of the main chances. BE FREE DREAMS (8) was placed behind INVASIVE (9) two starts back but will need a bit of luck from out here. Tips: 9 4 3 8 Suggested Bet: INVASIVE (9) to win. Race 10: WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU 3YO WESTBRED MS PACE TRUBLUWAUSSIE (2) resumed when she led against the fillies and had every chance when finishing 3rd. She takes on the boys tonight but there are no stars amongst them and she should be fitter for that run. MY NAMES BOB (7) did win a race three starts back which at least shows he can find the line. DONTHCH REMEMBER (5) is a 27 start maiden but has been racing in better company. HINDU RAJA (1) resumes after only average trials at Byford, but that could be good enough in a very average field. Tips: 2 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: TRUBLUWAUSSIE (2) to win. Bet Now
