Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 30, 2016July 6, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: TAB, THE BRAND THAT FUNDS THE INDUSTRY WESTBRED MS PACE PERSISTENT THREAT (2) was held up at a crucial stage when a good 2nd to American Boy last start and looks a big hope from the draw. LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (1) and MAX MERIDIUS (6) fought out a slightly weaker event at their last start and both must be considered. BAPTISM OF FIRE (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can run into the money. Tips: 2 1 6 10 Suggested Bet: PERSISTENT THREAT (2) each way. Race 2: COMMUNITY TAB CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (3) continued his amazing place sequence when he led throughout for a comfortable win in a mobile event. He has proven to be a solid performer from the stand and will give a big great sight again. IMPORTER EXPORTER (2) has won five of his last seven and was far from disgraced when 2nd to COURAGE TELLS (9) last week when he had to work harder than usual to find the front. JASON RULZ (4) was a proven stand performer in NZ and must be considered, while COURAGE TELLS (9) might find it harder from back here. Tips: 3 2 4 9 Suggested Bet: TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (3) to win. Race 3: OWNERS ONLY 2YO WESTBRED FILLIES MS PACE RED HOT ROXY (11) has won four of her six starts including a 1.57.5 win at her last start where she did a bit of work before finding the top. She goes to the back line tonight but looks to have a slight class edge on her rivals. SARAH GOODY (5) was forced to sit outside Maczaffair and was a brave 2nd to that filly last start and is the main danger. WHITBY GAMBLE (1) ran on for 5th in that event but will appreciate the pole draw tonight. DOALITTLEROCKNROLL (8) has been placed at her last four and should be thereabouts. Tips: 11 5 1 8 Suggested Bet: RED HOT ROXY (11) to win. Race 4: OWNERS ONLY 2YO WESTBRED COLTS AND GELDINGS MS PACE WESLEY (4) has used his terrific gate speed to win five of his eight race starts and was far from disgraced when he was pressured in front and ran a close 2nd to Im Rockaria. He has race experience on his side and looks extremely hard to beat if he can find the front. THE REAL IDEAL (1) is still a bit green but has plenty of ability and should run a big race from the pole. ITS MAJOR BUBBLES (2) and MAJOR POCKET (10) both have an abundance of ability and are genuine winning hopes with the right run. Tips: 4 1 2 10 Suggested Bet: WESLEY (4) to win. Race 5: OWNERS ONLY 3YO WESTBRED FILLIES MS PACE DODOLICIOUS (3) is the state’s best 3YO filly and was far from disgraced when doing all of the work when 2nd to The Spinster at her latest run. She should get a better trip tonight and should be winning. BETTOR BOA (9) ran a 1.4m 2nd to DODOLICIOUS (3) in the WA Oaks and is clearly the 2nd best filly but has a tough draw to overcome. MAIDENIMPRESSION (1) doesn’t have the class of the top two but looks a good place hope from the draw. SHEER ROCKNROLL (5) is just behind the top fillies but won’t be far away. Tips: 3 9 1 5 Suggested Bet: DODOLICIOUS (3) to win. Race 6: OWNERS ONLY 3YO WESTBRED COLTS AND GELDINGS MS PACE NEW WORLD ORDER (1) finished his last campaign with two impressive wins but failed first up when he did all of the work behind AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8). He is drawn perfectly tonight and should give a great sight. JOHNNY DISCO (9) has blitzed his rivals at his last two and is probably the best horse in the race but has the widest draw to overcome. AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8) could not have been more impressive last week but is also drawn poorly. BETTOR NOT BITTER (4) disposed of a weaker field last week but is ready for the rise in class. Tips: 1 8 9 4 Suggested Bet: NEW WORLD ORDER (1) to win. Race 7: GET THE TABTOUCH WINTER CUP MS PACE RUN ONEOVER (6) was awesome in facing the breeze and outstaying them in 1.54.3 for the 2130m journey. The Hall camp have five runners in the event and Jnr has given the lead by electing him and he should give a great sight. ELEGANT CHRISTIAN (11) has won four on end and beaten most of these recently and must be considered despite the back row. TRICKY STYX (2) and IDEAL ALICE (1) fought out a mares’ event last week but both can play a part against the males with the advantage at the draw. Tips: 6 11 2 1 Suggested Bet: RUN ONEOVER (6) to win. Race 8: OO AMBASSADOR RICK HART MS PACE RICIMER (1) hasn’t bee able to overcome poor draws recently but should be a big improver tonight. He looks the likely leader and is capable of carving out sectionals that will make it tough for his rivals. ANOTHER VINNIE (9) had been out of the winners’ circle for a long time but broke through in style when defeating a stronger field last start and has to be considered on that effort. PHOENIX WARRIOR (11) has been plagued by bad draws but could get a nice cart into the race. UNSINKABLE BOXER (2) looks a place chance from the draw. Tips: 1 9 11 2 Suggested Bet: RICIMER (1) to win. Race 9: OO AMBASSADOR DEAN COX MS PACE SKY ART (8) won two on end recently and was a great 2nd to Bungalow Bill in quick time at his last start. He is drawn wide but has a touch of class on his side and should run a big race. HOLY GRAIL (9) has been placed at 9 of his last 10 and should be thereabouts despite the draw. GIVES ME CHILLS (1) has been very disappointing but could get a soft lead and can improve. HIGHVIEW JACKIE (2) ran 2nd to Harry Hoo last start and is nicely drawn. Tips: 8 9 1 2 Suggested Bet: SKY ART (8) to win. Race 10: RECOGNISING WA OWNERS MARES MS PACE EASTWOOD CRYSTAL (5) sped to the front from a similar draw when an impressive all the way winner before drawing the back row when a solid 2nd to Where Dreams Grow and looks a major player tonight. BLACKNSWEET ADDA (1) has won two of her last three and should give a big sight from the pole. TYPHOON TAN (2) didn’t have much luck last start but ran home hard and looks better suited from this draw. DIGITAL ART (4) was a distant 3rd behind two top mares at her latest run and will appreciate the drop in class. Tips: 5 1 2 4 Suggested Bet: EASTWOOD CRYSTAL (5) to win. Bet Now
