Wayne’s Preview – Scorchers vs Heat Posted on January 4, 2017June 7, 2018 | Posted by Wayne Clark Friday January 06, 2017 What a game this should be! One versus two and a vital one to both teams in what has developed into a fascinating competition. The Heat, who have been firing, came back to earth against the Sixers on Tuesday night. A last-over loss, but more importantly injuries to two of their most important players. Lynn was obviously restricted with a left shoulder injury and Badree looks in doubt with a hamstring strain. Loss of either player will advantage the Scorchers. The batting of the Scorchers has been fantastic and the bowlers, who we all thought would be under pressure after a number of injuries to key players, have stood up well. Tye again has baffled many; Mitchell Johnson looks dangerous and his early battle with McCullum is worth the price of entry to see! The new ball bowling of Willey (his last game for the Scorchers) and Johnson will hold the key as early wickets against the Heat are vital. Ashton Turner has stepped up with both bat and ball, while Mitch Marsh remains the X-factor. Bell, Klinger, Shaun Marsh and Whiteman give great depth in the batting, so one would expect a big score against an attack that lacked a little depth on Tuesday night. I’m picking the Scorchers to win at home again and maintain the top spot. Most Runs Scorchers Klinger Heat Ross Wickets Scorchers Tye Heat Cutting Match Result Scorchers Bet Now!
