Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Warrnambool Preview Posted on April 29, 2025April 29, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. THE OPPORTUNIST has fitness, experience and the form around him is solid. ARIZONA LUCK is one of a few to jump out well and gets winkers on. ZOUTANIUM and SMASHING LAD, who wears blinkers for his debut, have also shown up at the jumpouts. SHADES OF STARDOM is another debutant that has shown enough to be respected. Selections: 6,7,5,3 Suggested Bet: The Opportunist each way Race 2 SEPHIA has trialled well to kick off her second prep and looks hard to beat. VIANARRA swaps blinkers for winkers, he’s been competitive at a higher level and has obvious claims. KINGSFORD has trialled well for his local debut after and encouraging performance in NZ. FINAL BOY and ZIGOUS EQUUS have some claims. Selections: 12,6,4,1 Suggested Bet: Sephia to win Race 3 TAUNG should appreciate dropping back to maiden grade after running ok in stronger races in Adelaide at his last couple. SUMO SANDY has been solid in two runs to date and looks suited by the slight rise in trip. RHOOKY seems suited kicking off in this distance range with blinkers on. MY UNCLE DID IT and FACTCHECK are in the game. Selections: 6,5,4,12 Suggested Bet: Taung each way Race 4 Competitive race. JEKYLL’N’HYDE and NELSON have both been trialling particularly well. PRISMATIC gives the impression he’ll appreciate the taller obstacles. LORD GOLDBERG has some claims, as do most of them. Selections: 6,2,1,9 Suggested Bet: Jekyll’n’hyde each way Race 5 KIRWAN’S BRIDGE improved nicely last start and draws to settle closer. DEVOTED POET was below expectations last start, but that was second up after a long break and can bounce back. COUSINS DAY gives the impression he’ll be suited kicking around this trip and gets winkers on. SARDONIAN will strip fitter for an encouraging return. Selections: 3,2,9,5 Suggested Bet: Kirwan’s Bridge each way Race 6 Great race. THE CUNNING FOX was impressive beating STERN IDOL last time but there’s a significant weight swing back in favour of Stern Idol. AFFLUENTIAL has looked a rising star of the jumps circuit and looks the other main hope. RIGHT NOW was safely held behind The Cunning Fox but is sure to strip fitter. Selections: 4,1,2,6 Suggested Bet: The Cunning Fox to win Race 7 Assuming Stokke runs Tuesday and doesn’t back up. SASQUALAH has jumped out well to resume and maps for a good run. WHISTLEFIELD will roll forward and give a sight. FULLY CALCULATED is fit, consistent and also maps well. XTRAMAGIC will be strong late. Selections: 6,3,9,11 Suggested Bet: Sasqualah each way Race 8 HEDGED will strip fitter third up. He got things back on track last time and gets a cross over nose band first time. DASHING has been given a number of jumpouts to be ready for this first up and has the class to be winning this grade. LUNA CAT will be charging late. TITLE FIGHTER and THE INSTRUCTOR have claims Selections: 3,4,11,9 Suggested Bet: Hedged each way Race 9 Deep race. BARBIE’SBREAMWORLD has the wide draw to contend with but looks suited coming back in distance and gets B.Shinn. MUPPET is racing in career best form and didn’t have the best of luck time. MIDNIGHT GLOW has returned in good form and should appreciate the slight rise in distance. CLEITUS did more than enough first up and is another suited stepping up to this trip. Selections: 14,13,4,12 Suggested Bet: Barbie’sdreamworld each way Race 10 BOLTSAVER is a superior wet tracker who will strip fitter second up and should relish the rise to 1400m. PERSIAN SPIRIT should be close to peak fitness third up and shapes as a strong danger. NAVY KING will no doubt stretch out further in distance but has jumped out well and seems suited at this trip first up. LOOSE ON GIN is a another to jump out well. Selections: 1,10,7,9 Suggested Bet: Boltsaver each way Market Market
