Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on September 9, 2025September 9, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Typically strong maiden for this time of year. SEA TRADER comes through a couple of slowly run recent jumpouts/trials but looks well above average and should relish 1300m on a big track. WETUMPKA will strip fitter third up and has run well when well supported at two runs to date. REGAL AWARD should appreciate 1300m and Shinn takes over. AMEDEI has jumped out well without being tested. CINTURATO, POLISH PLAYGIRL, SOROUSH and CRUSADER VOYAGE have some claims. Selections: 7,8,9,6 Suggested Bet: Sea Trader each way Race 2 DREAMS COME TRUE is a winner here, she’s racing well and hits the line strongly. GALILAEUS has been kept and seems to appreciate racing that way. LEADERS LISTEN got the right run last time and maps well again. I AM THE EMPIRE will make his own luck and his form ties in well, along with the same recent form of KARBURAN. Selections: 5,8,3,4 Suggested Bet: Dreams Come True each way Race 3 YAMASHITA’S GOLD got a deserved break through last time. He raced well without much luck previously and will be strong late. SHINJINA has been good at two runs to date and can take advantage of the inside draw. POINT BARROW was well backed to win resuming and will also be strong late. AMPING LASS has jumped out in good style. MEISHO is drawn for a soft run near the speed. Selections: 2,8,4,6 Suggested Bet: Yamashita’s Gold each way Race 4 Good race. VISUAL hasn’t raced for a while but won a deep maiden on debut and has jumped out well for the new stable. SALUTED is a fast filly and has jumped out in typically sharp fashion. NEXTONIKS impressed winning first up in Adelaide and will also be part of the speed. STOKKE can be effective fresh and the market should be the best guide.. DELICATE LADY and TREMBLES are in the mix. Selections: 10,8,4,3 Suggested Bet: Visual each way Race 5 MR VIVACI should get a good run, he had excuses last start after a tough win previously. SHINY NEW DEEL races well here, he also had excuses last time and gets blinkers first time. FLYING VALLEY got the favours last start, he’ll need some luck from the draw but is racing well. DRAMATICUS had a forgivable run at his latest and can improve. Selections: 8,11,4,10 Suggested Bet: Mr Vivaci each way Race 6 ENNA’S DREAM had the pattern against her at Moonee Valley, following a strong first up win and strikes a suitable race. GARNACHO had plenty against him first up and worked home ok in a stronger race. NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND is yet to win beyond 2100m but is fit and in form. NEPRAVDA is also fit, in form and can make her own luck. KIRRIBILLI has sown promise and jumped out ok. Selections: 8,4,1,14 Suggested Bet: Enna’s Dream each way Race 7 ZAMBARDO rises in grade and needs a scratching to gain a start but appeals as a stayer with upside. Happy to forgive GENRICHERO last start and his previous run reads well for this. REALIKA should be suited by the rise in trip. KAAZI takes another rise in grade but looks progressive and the rise in distance should be no problem. RICK’S CAFE will be at peak fitness, her form ties in with AUTUMN SLIDE and both chance in a deep race. Selections: 17,7,16,12 Suggested Bet: Zambardo each way Race 8 HE’LL RIP had little luck behind Justadeel last start and the race has opened up with his scratching. TRIAL BE PRESS is at her best when riding the speed and that looks a likely scenario. RAIKOKE is on trial at 1400m but giving the impression it might be ok. EYE OF THE EAGLE, OUR COUVER and FIDDLERS GREEN are among the other chances. Selections: 9,10,5,8 Suggested Bet: He’ll Rip each way Market Market
