Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on July 8, 2025July 8, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 ALIANO has jumped out very well on a number of occasions for his debut and has handled wet ground under those conditions. MELBOURNE MAGIC has a fitness and experience advantage and gets winkers on after two encouraging runs. SHEEZ ELEGANT crossed the line with Melbourne Magic first up this prep, so must have a case. ROCK THEM JOOLS has jumped out in good style with blinkers on to resume. VANISIHING ACT has jumped out well to resume for the new stable. Selections: 1,2,10,3 Suggested Bet: Aliano each way Race 2 BOSSY BENITA came a long way last prep and has jumped out in great fashion. TANGO JEWEL is race fit and will give a sight. ENNA’S DREAM has accepted and scratched a couple of time in recent weeks, she’s trialled well to resume with blinkers on. JUSTDOIT likes it wet and will be strong late. THINKING OF GERTY, SHE DARESTHE DEVIL and THINKING OF GERTY are others with winning hopes. Selections: 4,1,7,2 Suggested Bet: Bossy Benita each way Race 3 HERBERT PARK didn’t have the best of luck second up, she loves it wet and with luck from the draw should be in the finish. THE SHAPER gets down in the weights and will be strong late coming back slightly in trip. SESSIONS ROAD NAVAL ACADEMY is building a handy record and has jumped out well to resume. ONE LONG DAY and MARGIE’S BOY are in the mix. Selections: 9,11,8,7 Suggested Bet: Herbert Park each way Race 4 FLATTERED had excuses last start and should appreciate getting back on rain affected ground. LEGACY BAY looks a strong inning chance, she’s been good at all three runs this prep and maps well. PLENTY OF GRUNT improved nicely to break the maiden on soft ground last time and has some upside. SWIFT CIRCLE, BOLD STRIKE and WHATELEY have claims. Selections: 11,12,7,10 Suggested Bet: Flattered each way Race 5 DIVINE JUSTICE has jumped out well to resume after showing promise in her first prep. SILENT SHARES should appreciate the drop in grade and getting back to 1200m. BRUTALINA is racing well and can make her own luck. SASSY JENNI has jumped out in good style to resume and also showed promise in her first prep. FRIENDZONED and POINT BE have claims on their last runs at Mornington. Selections: 6,12,3,4 Suggested Bet: Divine Justice each way Race 6 Deep race. WHISTLE DOWN is racing in good form, she handles wet ground well and seems to appreciate having her runs spaced. HANAFUBUKI did enough first up and is a second up winner. SUN GIFT is another racing in good form and gets back to fillies and mares grade. ONE DREAM ONE SOUL, PIPLUP and SHEZAVIXEN are among the other winning hopes. Selections: 6,3,8,1 Suggested Bet: Whistle Down each way Race 7 NATION’S CALL should be at his top now and is drawn to get a good run not far off the speed. TRAPALANDA ran well at his first run in Vic and should be better for the experience. DASHWOOD will strip fitter third up and stuck on ok at Mornington last start. LAUDING has had excuses of late and is a likely improver. Selections: 5,11,12,9 Suggested Bet: Nation’s Call to win Race 8 DREAMS COME TRUE has jumped out in great style on rain affected ground since her last start and looks hard to beat with residual fitness on the fresh side. MAGARTEN handles wet ground and may be suited coming back to 1600m. HEAVENLY EAGLE’s wet track form is inconclusive but he’s right up to this class. EYE FOR AN EYE and BLACK STORM have some claims. Selections: 15,7,8,16 Suggested Bet: Dreams Come True to win Market Market
