Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Ballarat Preview Posted on April 1, 2025April 1, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 BRAZEN DIVA looks part of the speed, despite coming back to 1000m and should prove hard to get past. COCO COP also drops back to 1000m but gets blinkers and will be strong late. BAZABALL REWARDED has been solid in all her runs to date and may hold a spot behind the speed from the inside draw. CINCINCITY has jumped out ok to resume. Selections: 2,4,1,3 Suggested Bet: Brazen Diva to win Race 2 MONTJUIC MAGIC chased well on debut after following the winner/leader and the form through that race has held up. JAHANGIR covered ground on debut in the same race as FOX MAN, who was part of the speed and both have strong claims. COOL CHARLIE has had a few tries but trialled well for the new stable. THE NEPHILIM has shown talent at the jumpouts to debut with blinkers on. Selections: 8,5,4,1 Suggested Bet: Montjuic Magic to win Race 3 MYRIAD chased an impressive winner on debut and should appreciate the step up to 1200m. LADY LONSDALE didn’t have the clearest path on debut, she gets winkers on and should also benefit from the rise to 1200m. DANGINGONMYOWN finished alongside her in that race and gets a tongue tie applied. GRAMMY’S SUNSHINE has trialled impressively to resume for her second campaign after competing in a strong race on debut. Selections: 5,9,6,8 Suggested Bet: Myriad each way Race 4 AMERICAN WOLF has the wide draw to contend with, but Shinn is as good as any for that challenge. The form through his last run ties in with UTAH and MURGASTY, with Hot Too Go the common link and that looks the strongest form reference. JUDGE JENNI and DHARAM SHALAA, who swaps blinkers for visors, are both fit and consistent. Selections: 5,16,8,10 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples with 5,16 & 8 Race 5 DIDN’T MISS MANY closed off well first up, he will appreciate the extra 200m and can settle closer from a favourable draw. BLUSHING TYCOON can’t be improving at this stage of the prep but continues to race well and can make his own luck. NOTABADBUY brings a great first up record and has been jumping out in good fashion. DETROIT CITY hasn’t fired this prep but should be at peak fitness and drops in grade with blinkers off. ARMINO got the right run to score last start and maps for another good run. Selections: 9,3,1,2 Suggested Bet: Didn’t Miss Many each way Race 6 QUISEEN gets a nose roll on, she has returned in good form and looks to get a sweet run behind the speed. TSARINE has been jumping out well to resume after winning in good style on debut. CORDINA was expected to win on debut and delivered at short odds, she looks competitive but is likely to get more pressure here in a much stronger race. LA CASONA has been jumping out ok should be suited by a solid tempo. Selections: 3,9,6,2 Suggested Bet: Quiseen each way Race 7 ALMA RISE didn’t have the best of luck after being slowly away in a stronger race first up. She has plenty of upside as a staying mare and looks the one to beat. SOUL OF SPAIN hit the line strongly at his first Australian run and shapes as the main danger with blinkers coming off for the rise in trip. REGAL LION is an interesting runner having his first run for the Bedggood stable and dropping in class. FAGIN, MUKTAMIL and ST VINCENTS GARDEN, who resumes with blinkers off and winkers on have some claims. Selections: 6,10,3,9 Suggested Bet: Alma Rise to win Race 8 EPICE DIEU has jumped out well since a tough first up run, indicating he’s come through that race well. FLYCATCHER is racing well and drops back in grade from the Country Mile Series Final. SOREL RISING will strip fitter third up after two encouraging runs this prep. LOVIN’ LAUGHS and BOULDER JACK are both likely to be part of the speed and are in the mix in an even race. Selections: 4,5,1,2 Suggested Bet: Epice Dieu each way Market Market
