Warren Huntly’s Thursday Caulfield Preview Posted on December 24, 2024December 24, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 MAKE IT SWEET jumps from 1400m to 1800m but looks well placed third up after hitting the line strongly last start and drawing for good run. STUPENDOUS has returned in great form and gives the impression this trip will be ok. CYCLONE HARMONY is another in good form and is a winner here. DISTURBIA might be the leader and can give a sight. MARIOTA worked home ok first up and gets winkers on. Selections: 3,5,2,7 Suggested Bet: Make It Sweet to win Race 2 AZEEZLE gets blinkers off after a solid first up win and may take a sit in a race where the appears an abundance of speed. CASTELLAR ran well here last time over this trip and the winner of that race has plenty of upside. DREAMZEL has jumped out in typically sharp fashion and will be part of the speed. PANO’S PRIDE come back from a win at 1200m but is in great form and his two previous 1000m runs were good. Selections: 6,8,5,7 Suggested Bet: Azeezle each way Race 3 RUMOURS ABOUND brings some solid NSW form and was sound at her only Victorian run to date. MANTUA is most consistent, he’s jumped out nicely between runs and gets blinkers back on. ELBA comes through the same jumpout and Mantua and looked to move well without being tested .WOLFLANDS will strip fitter second up and appreciate the extra 100m. LADY DI DI gets blinkers first time and has claims on her best form. Selections: 6,4,5,1 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples with 6,4 & 5 Race 4 Good race. CENTENNIAL PARK broke his maiden in dominant fashion last start and maps for a great run near the speed. COLOUR OUR WORLD chased well behind a smart one last time and the form behind Somewhere, from her run three starts back, also reads well. CACHINK found it too wet last start and has jumped out well since. SIGIRIYA ROCK controlled his maiden here to score well last time and is one of a few with upside. Selections: 2,7,1,3 Suggested Bet: Centennial Park to win Race 5 KEEP YOUR COOL may need some luck from the outside draw but displayed a good burst of acceleration to win last start and looks progressive. AUTUMN SLIDE has been freshened since not handling the wet track last start and her previous form was great. ERSA surged late to score over this course and distance first up and maps for another stalking run. STYLISH was sent back to the jumpouts after failing to handle the heavy track last start and is capable of bouncing back. SOARING EAGLE will strip fitter second up and can make her own luck. Selections: 3,4,5,6 Suggested Bet: Keep Your Cool to win Race 6 HE’S BESET has jumped out ok to resume and has the tactical versatility to take advantage of a low draw. VIENNA VIXEN has been racing without the best of luck and is due for a change of fortune. KING’S CAPITAL has the wide draw but stuck on well after a tough run last start. LOOSE ON GIN, ESTRAPAZ and ONE LONG DAY have claims in a deep race. Selections: 1,10,4,7 Suggested Bet: He’s Beset each way Race 7 RIOT AND ROSE rises in weight but has raced himself back into form and seems best suited around 1600m on firm ground. MARBLE ARCH also rises in weight but sprinted impressively to score last start and that form should hold up well here. DASHING brings some strong form lines and will give s sight, as he did behind Riot and Rose last start. FLASH FLOOD chased ok in that race and should be at peak fitness now. PLACE OF GOLD is in career best form and gets some weight relied for the rise in grade. Selections: 2,3,1,4 Suggested Bet: Riot And Rose to win Race 8 MRS CHRISSIE showed tactical versatility to score impressively last start and those tactics could work well again in a race with plenty of speed. ASHFORD STREET swaps blinkers for winkers and has jumped out in great style since his last run. SEMILLION and KA BLING have also both jumped out/trialled in good style leading into this. SHE DANCES went too hard in the race won by Mrs Chrissie first up and is right in the game if she’s come through that ok. TAUNTING has jumped out well in SA and has a case. Selections: 9,4,8,5 Suggested Bet: Mrs Chrissie to win Market Market
