Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on January 20, 2023January 20, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. INTERNATIONAL looked sharp winning a recent Flemington jumpout. AMUR won well here on debut and has been kept up to the mark with a jumpout between runs. SOME PEOPLE CALLME has moved particularly well in his jumpouts. PICKY ran well on debut and should get a soft run. MEG’S MAGIC is another debutante to jump out well. Selections: 6,1,4,5 Suggested Bet: Small bet International to win Race 2 UNFLINCHING looks hard to beat after two solid runs this preparation and will make his own luck. JOSEYLIN was scratched from Friday’s Flemington meeting to be reserved for this and will appreciate a strong tempo. LADY SOLLY loves it here, she kicked off last preparation with a win here off a similar break. WAY TO THE STARS will be part of the speed and stuck on well last time. Selections: 2,7,1,3 Suggested Bet: Unflinching to win Race 3 COTEL went back from a wide draw last start and under the circumstances ran well. I’d expect her to be much closer to the speed here. OKAY TO PAY worked early and stuck on well on track record pace at her latest run. BELLA SORELLINA has returned in good form. WHO SHOT SUZY and BERRY BUBBLY have some claims. Selections: 5,1,3,4 Suggested Bet: Cotel to win Race 4 SHUFFLE DANCER chased well in a leader dominated race last start, she should relish 1500m and looks the one to beat. FIELD THE MOMENT sustained a strong gallop to score second up and will strip even fitter. RUNNING ON TIME has upside, she absorbed some pressure to win an easier race last time. MICHELOTI and TEST THE LAW look place hopes. Selections: 6,7,1,2 Suggested Bet: Shuffle Dancer to win Race 5 THE NEPHEW is racing consistently and should appreciate getting back to 2040m. AIN’TNODEELDUN should be at peak fitness and had no luck in Sydney. HIGHLAND JAKK was well ridden to score nicely over this course and distance last start. INDEPENDENT ROAD seems to save his best for Flemington but is fit and going well. Selections: 10,2,5,8 Suggested Bet: The Nephew each way Race 6 ICE PICK NICK should be ready third up and had no luck at a crucial stage last start. HARBIN got keen in the run last start and blinkers come off here. VONGOLE covered ground last start after having no luck the start prior, winkers go back on. THE HASS won well in easier company first up and can make his own luck. Selections: 2,1,6,8 Suggested Bet: Ice Pick Nick to win Race 7 DANCE TO DUBAI was well ridden to absorb pressure and score in impressive style last time. STRIPPED BACK looked good winning first up and didn’t look comfortable down the straight last time. back around a bend he could bounce back. SACRED PALACE will strip fitter and appreciate the step up to 1200m. BILL THE BOXER and APRES LA MER should roll forward and give a sight. Selections: 8,10,5,2 Suggested Bet: Dance to Dubai to win Race 8 MUNHAMEK looked a touch unlucky copping interference on the home turn last start. POUNDING was scratched last week to be reserved for this and maps for a good run. CORNER POCKET drops back in grade from a win at stakes level and doesn’t look badly treated after the claim. SAVANNAH CLOUD is flying and is in the mix with DON’T DOUBT DORY, who has jumped out well. Selections: 12,11,2,6 Suggested Bet: Munhamek each way Race 9 Plenty of chances. HENNESSY LAD maps for s good run and will strip fitter third up. EURO DANDY may need some luck from the inside draw but is racing well and looks suited back out to 1600m. THREEANFOURPENCE had no luck in a similar race last start. IMA SHELBY is fit and racing well. SHOCK ‘EM OVA has upside, he’s jumped out well to resume at a suitable trip. REGAL AZMON and FALLS have some claims. Selections: 15,7,13,5 Suggested Bet: Hennessy Lad each way Market Market
