Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on September 5, 2024September 5, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 EVAPORATE displayed some tactical versatility to score here last time and looks hard to beat again. TWIN ENGINE looked good winning his maiden in the Ballarat synthetic second up and is open to further improvement. CAPTAIN BARBOSSA, COCOBILL and STYLISH SECRET also broke their maidens in good style at their latest runs and have claims. Selections: 1,6,3,5 Suggested Bet: Evaporate to win Race 2 LE MANS caught the eye at her local debut and looks well placed stepping up to 1600m. ARQANA may need some luck from the inside draw but she’s having an outstanding prep and has jumped put well between runs. CHARISSE and WRITTEN IN CODE have intertwining form and both looks suited stepping up to this trip. WAIMARE is fit and flying but might get more pressure here. Selections: 4,2,9,8 Suggested Bet: Le Mans each way Race 3 LE ZEBRA had excuses after a slow get away last time. His previous win was outstanding and he and has jumped out nicely since his last run. ARAMCO gets back down here in good form and will make his own luck. TROSETTEE had his consistency rewarded last start and any rain would enhance his chances. NAILS MURPHY may have been a touch unlucky behind Trosettee. REGAL ZEUS is another that can make his own luck. Selections: 8,1,6,10 Suggested Bet: Le Zebra each way Race 4 LINCOLN ROCKS has been good at all his Australian runs and seems best suited around this trip. GOOD OIL did enough first after trialling well and will be suited by the rise in distance. LAUDING is unbeaten here and the blinkers switched him back on last start. RICK’S CAFE is going well and has an each way hope. Selections: 4,1,2,14 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples with 4,1 & 2 Same Race Multi: Lincoln Rocks (Top 2) + Good Oil (Top 4) Race 5 ARKANSAW KID got the right run when he resumed gelded but should strip even fitter. That form ties in WHO DARES, who gets a weight advantage from that race. A LITTLE DEEP maintained her unbeaten first up record in easier company but is a winner here and has a touch of class. DESERT LIGHTNING and SAVANNAH CLOUD have both jumped out well in the same heat and are in the mix. Selections: 3,4,6,1 Suggested Bet: Arkansaw Kid to win Race 6 SILMARILLION brings some strong Sydney form lines and early scratchings have made her task a touch easier. SASSY JENNI had jumped out well to resume with winkers on and is a winner here. IMMORTAL STAR got the right run to score here last time. There were some luckless runners behind her but she will strip even fitter. SUPERCILIOUS will be strong late coming back in trip on the fresh side. Selections: 3,8,2,7 Suggested Bet: Silmarillion to win Race 7 PUBLIC ATTENTION and EPIMILES have looked good early in their careers and both have jumped out in great style leading into this. ANGEL CAPITAL has is another to display abundant early talent, he’s also jumped out well and 1200m first up might suit. RED SEA brings some solid NZ form. He still looks a bit green but has jumped out nicely at Flemington. Selections: 3,2,7,5 Suggested Bet: Public Attention each way Race 8 PERCILES looks well placed stepping up slightly in distance second up and isn’t badly treated under the SWP weight scale. ATTRITION ran as well as he could on the Parks track first up and recorded a close second to Pinstriped in the Feehan at his only start here. MUNHAMEK can’t be improving but continues to front up and run well. POUNDING needs another win but is going ok. DEVOTED and SHOWMANSHIP have some claims. Selections: 2,1,4,7 Suggested Bet: Pericles to win Race 9 Great race despite the modest field size. ESTRIELLA is unbeaten first up, she can make her own luck and is jumping out brilliantly. HAYASUGI had an outstanding two year old season and has also been jumping out in great style. Her query might be 1000m but she’ll be charging late with 50kg. I WISH I WIN will also be charging late. LADY OF CAMELOT also had a brilliant two year old season, she’s trialled solidly in Sydney is sure to give them something to chase. Selections: 6,9,1,8 Suggested Bet: Estriella to win Race 10 SUPARAZI backed up his great trial form with a terrific first up run, only to be beaten by a B.Shinn special. He’ll probably get more clear air here and we’ll have an idea of any pattern by now. VERDAD was competitive with a number of Group 1 winners during his three year old season and has jumped out in great fashion to resume. PIASTRI is fit and flying. MISS ARIA has had an easy jumpout since arriving back from a fruitful trip to Queensland and should’ve retained a good deal of residual fitness. Selections: 1,6,10,8 Suggested Bet: Suparazi each way Market Market
